If you were observing American elections from the outside, you might be asking yourself the following:
Can't these people make up their minds? Four out of the last five elections (2006, 2008, 2010 and now 2014) were "wave" elections in which one party won a sweeping victory. They elect a president of one party, then two years later almost inevitably give the other party a huge victory in the midterm election. Why do they expect things to change?
Good question. It's always dangerous to speak of a country of 319 million as having a singular will, or of an election expressing that will. That's particularly true when only about 40% of eligible voters show up for midterm elections. Like every party that wins, the GOP will claim that "the American people" have endorsed its agenda in full, and therefore if President Barack Obama stands in its way, then he's thwarting the public's desires.

All about motivation to turn out.
Obama brought out blacks in insane turnout percentages and that has messed up the last two election where he was on the ballot.
Without a black candidate next time we’ll see far more standard black turnout.
I don’t see how Dems can avoid nominating another black. Once you go black...
No. CNN is still on the air.
for later
“Poor CNN, they are hanging on to the last thread they have. I think it is time to flush twice and get rid of them forever.”
I can fix CNN by doing one thing. Changing the name of their news division to entertainment division.
Boils down to a miscalculation by the dims that the populus wanted to move the country “WAY” left. I think almost all of the dims realize that except the punk POTUS.
Groupthink mindguard piece.
They’re everywhere following the midterm slaughter, devoid of logic to keep the believers believing. (NAACP earning an honorable mention)
This isn/t aimed at Republicans as the title suggests, they know why they voted.
It is meant to lift depressed leftist with faux schadenfreude. A discussion topic to cling to as leftists gather in drum circles.
After all CNN and the rest can let the truth stand, could have believers considering they might be wrong. This is a key relentless aspect of the left.
Go check your ratings CNN and call us in the morning ;- )
Notice how the anti-Obama comments to the CNN article are being blocked?
What the authors ignored was that in less than two years Obama had already showed his faults in a way that washed out the euphoria of “hope and change”. In 2010, many 2008 Obama supporters did not change so much, but they were disappointed in themselves for having believed in mere “hope and change” with no substance about Obama for why they should. Obama had proved he was not the man they thought he was. His party suffered for it in 2010 and 2012. The GOP would do well to not ignore the fact that we have just had an election that was as much, or more, about voting against someone - Obama - as voting for someone.
Only about 40% of eligible voters show up for midterm elections.
Proof that 60% of voters have their head up their a$$ 100% of the time.
