It’s “Illegal Pete” not “Ilegal Pedro” and if it were, so what. Just like “Sambo’s” restaurant was named after the owners, not the fictional character who was Indian, not black.

There was a cheesesteak place in Philly called Chink’s Steaks, that was beloved and busy. Activists started bugging until the owner changed the name to Joe’s Steaks. Customer traffic died, at least for a time after the name change.
