If the Speaker won’t bring something to a vote, what are the alternatives?

More like "Game-Set-ChangeTheFilibusterRules". And we have Harry Reid to thank for that.

After the way they screamed when Reid changed the rules I don't see them weakening the filibuster even more.

Aw crap.

Congress can also revoke a presidential executive order by passing a bill by a veto-proof (2/3 vote) majority. For example, in 2003 Congress unsuccessfully attempted to revoke President Bush’s Executive Order 13233 , which had rescinded Executive Order 12667 (Reagan). The bill, HR 5073 , did not pass.

We’ve got nothing.

Will all say that Republicans will be blamed unless they surrender to Obama now.

They said that about the last shutdown. The midterm results indicate that the voters apparently saw through it.

Illegals may apply, but if Congress defunds the part of government that reviews these applications, then they will not have citizenship because the process is not completed, The INS has names and addresses of illegals. If I was an illegal, I would be rather concerned about putting my name out there to the federal government, especially if the Obama amnesty falls through.
Some people here were talking about pardons, here is my take on it;
I think a pardon ( and I am not a legal expert) gives forgiveness to a past crime. An illegal could be pardoned for being in the country illegally, but the next day ( if they haven’t left) the pardon would be expired, because pardons do not forgive future behavior.
If I was President, and pardoned someone for murder, that does not mean the next day they can murder someone else, and the pardon extends to the second murder.

It was President Reagan’s Executive Order 12333 that established and handed to the NSA virtually all of the powers under which the agency operates to this day—allowing the agency to collect the data that so many now find to be so offensive.

So yeah, I’d include Reagan.

Like it will even matter. His laws and EO’s are invalid, he is not an American Citizen, he has allowed innocent American lives to be killed. Everything he has done is invalid.

Do you honestly think that he couldn’t get away with this? It doesn’t even matter. He’ll just loot the treasury, like he has done for 6 years.

‘Can the President veto this Congressional Revocation?’

drpix: “Yes.”

Cletus.D.Yokel: "Wouldn’t that necessarily imply that POTUS can also veto any Articles of Impeachment?"

.

No because a Congressional Revocation is a "bill" which a President can veto BUT Impeachment is not a "bill" but a "resolution" which a President can NOT veto. Bills go to the President for signature, but Resolutions do not.

Upon a Senate vote of guilty on a House Resolution of Impeachment the President's removal from office is legally and immediately complete & final.

Also Article 2 Sec 2 says: "The President... shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment."

An interesting consideration. By what rules are Revocation and Resolution determined?

If the POTUS issues a pardon for himself, what would be the end-game: Resolution or Revocation...and...who decides?

I’m thinking it is a matter of “rules” within congress (of which, those members can define...)

Judge Andrew Napolitano gives a clear, concise and objective thumbs DOWN to Obama’s halting of deportations. Not legal....

BS..there is no REQUIREMENT “to” deport. o says stop..ICE stops. No law broken, or challenged.
