My cousin used to teach in Houston.
She was ALWAYS armed.
I know 2 adults that said they’d die before they could shoot another human being/take another’s life.

Mixed bag. They still work for the government so it's not an all out win, but it normalizes firearms and gives more people the opportunity to be exposed which is a plus. Call it a B- on balance.

Have NO trust of most teachers......So NO.
Most of the teachers I know are liberal democrats.
The thought of them owning or possessing a gun is unacceptable to their minds.
Besides, a liberal with a gun would require a czar to oversee the program, the gun would have to have a high tech grip to allow only the teacher to fire it, the gun would have to be stored separately from the ammunition, the gun would be required to have a lock on the trigger, the gun would have to be stored so the children would not be traumatized by the mere sight of the gun, and a number of lesser rules would need to be applied.

When I worked in Urban districts they were 90% liberal, in the suburban maybe 50-60%, but in the rural districts 90% conservative. Sadly that is a very small population compared to urban ones.

The solution to the dilemma that you pose is to begin the process of privatization.
You are completely correct. Government schooling exerts tremendous power over the lives of children. The risk is always there that in their compulsory-attendance government schools that the child will be conditioned to government power.
If and when true hardcore tyranny comes to our nation, the Marxo/fascist/liberal/leftist/progressives will not use cattle cars. Instead, they will use big yellow school buses. And....The steeple will compliantly board them just as their government school overseers trained them to do.
Government K-12 teachers and principals are functionaries for the government. Their power to control the lives of children is backed by the threat of armed police force and court action. Once in the government school children in many ways are treated like prisoners and the risk is that government K-12 schooling conditions the child to be comfortable with government oppression.

Done....we need citizens protecting and serving other citizens, not more paid police or armed guards. Use only those that have experience and disposition and willing to get trained for active shooter situations.
