Officer Darren Wilson has, through his legal team, put out a statement reacting to the news tonight he will not be indicted by the Ferguson grand jury for the shooting of Michael Brown.
Here is the statement in full:
Today, a St. Louis County grand jury released its decision that no charges would be filed in the case involving Officer Darren Wilson. From the onset, we have maintained and the grand jury agreed that Officer Wilsons action on August 9 were in accordance with the laws and regulations that govern the procedures of an officer.
In a case of this magnitude, a team of prosecutors rightfully presented evidence to this St. Louis County grand jury. This group of citizens, drawn at random from the community, listened to witnesses and heard all the evidence in the case. Based on the evidence and witness testimony, the grand jury collectively determined there was no basis for criminal charges against Officer Wilson.
Law enforcement personnel must frequently make split-second and difficult decisions. Officer Wilson followed his training and followed the law.
We recognize that many people will want to second-guess the grand jurys decision. We would encourage anyone who wants to express an opinion do so in a respectful and peaceful manner.
On a side note, Officer Wilson would like to thank those who have stood by his side throughout the process. This continued support is greatly appreciated by Officer Wilson and his family.
Moving forward, any commentary on this matter will be done in the appropriate venue and not through the media.

He was auditioning for Shep Smith's anchor position, so it can be forgiven.
I watched a video on the DOJ website of Holder explaining the situation in Ferguson. It dripped with coded doublespeak but the message was he was focused on making sure the police would have as its first priority to protect rioters from harm. I truly believe that is why the police backed off as many crimes were committed. The message was we got your back, go do what you do.
Cut him some slack. He's only doing his job.
The job that the Arabic muslims hired him for.
It`s so upsetting to see so many people not willing to accept the truth. Darren Wilson is totally innocent.
At one point last night CNN I believe had on Kendall Coffee, terrible man as we all know, but I gave him a listen anyway, he went on to say that it was all Darren Wilson`s fault, the destruction of Ferguson. He said if he had behaved properly none of this would have happened???
.....IF MICHAEL BROWN HAD BEHAVED HIMSELF NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED
To a reasonable person, Darren Wilson was 100% vindicated, but they are going to continue to persecute this man
CNN had a poll earlier on Monday which said 63 percent of the American people wanted the book thrown at Officer Wilson. It did not separate MO people from the rest of the uninformed pack.
RINO George Herbert Walker Bush, did he ever get Rodney King to change his voter registration?
In my book, this man is a hero. I peeked in at Deranged Untermensch and — predictably — the progs are calling for his head. That confirms to me even more firmly the GJ made the right call.
Indeed. Now let's see if the Ferguson Police Department has the decency and spine to give Wilson his job back.
I think at times like this when all the racists are having a field day, it would be good to remind everyone that we all came from black beginnings. We all came out of Africa about 70,000 years ago, so we all have black blood in our ancestry. Yes, my fellow Americans, we are all Negroes, and we should be proud of our shared racial heritage. We are all one people after all.
Laz, I have a friend who lives in the area. He told me last night that at one point over a hundred of the rioters approached a neighborhood away from the principle streets associated with the unrest..
They were met by around fifty men from that neighborhood armed with weapons from handguns up to AR-15s and hunting rifles. These residents fired their weapons into the air when the rioters approached with a significant discharge for a minute or so. The rioters turned away and went back.
Same type of thing happened during the LA riots when they tried to expand. With the same results.
If the Police and Guard are not out there in sufficient numbers to quell this, then the law abiding citizens will...and should...band together to protect their own.
That’s a big part of the second amendment...to allow citizens to be prepared to defend themselves against tyranny like this...whether domestically generated or generated by others coming here from outside our borders.
Obama, through his words and actions, is instigating and promoting both forms.
...and Theodore, IMHO, in situations like this, CNN polls are something you should use in the bathroom when you are finished and need to clean yourself up.
NICE REPORT
This is why they want to take our guns.
So we can be victimized.
The horror of mobocracy. This is democracy in action, the point of the Democratic Party.
Who was targeted because he sounded like an old Jew.
Wow! This story deserves a thread of its own!
When Fox reported the gunfire this is what I thought was happening. Thanks for the confirmation.
Wilson added: Ive never seen that much aggression so quickly from a simple request to just walk on the sidewalk.
if he knew he was a suspect in the robbery and that’s why he was stopping him, why was he just asking him to walk on the sidewalk? why wasn’t he stopping him to see if he had the stolen goods?
IIRC from last night’s briefing.
Wilson saw the cigars in Brown’s hand and a red cap. These two identifiers were on the radio report.
He radio back up. When the perps continued in the middle of the street he cut them off with his car and Brown went for him.
Yeah, just read that on CBS report — still catching up
Very interesting ....... thanks for the link !!!
