You can always fix, repaint, and detail the car!

This was on the I-5 Freeway in San Diego. The California Highway Patrol showed up and took charge.

The group was compliant and left without incident. The CHP opted not to arrest all of them since they complied and left the freeway as soon as they were asked to do so.

Aaaaah! San Diego .. civilized people still do live here.

They blocked the boondoggle of our stupid streetcar in Tucson last night.

We're getting a boondoggle streetcar in Cincinnati, too!

Somebody is making money off of it. Local right wing radio AND the local NAACP campaigned against it...together...

I think it all germinates from some consultant from Colorado. There was some controversy there but he was determined. He went to other cities in other states and convinced them. He’s made TONS as a consultant.

In Tucson, they are making it difficult for store employees to park outside their place of work to accommodate the street car. And they are restricting parking in the downtown area, so you have to TAKE the streetcar in to get where you want to go.

Great city planning. People stopped coming downtown during the construction. And then people lost the habit. And besides, it seems that people who already took public transportation are taking it and it has not encouraged people to give up their cars.

I hear you have a great city. I have a poster from your museum—it hangs prominently. I hope you can prevent this huge waste of taxpayer money. And the

The route will run along a street with a number of recently gentrified blocks. The neighborhood used to be Frightening, but the architecture is quaint. Lately high dollar restaurants and shops have gone in; the people who own them and the as-yet un-redeveloped buildings wanted the wretched streetcar. Now, there was a proposal to charge $300/year for a parking sticker so people could park on the street! This was to pay the operating expenses of the streetcar! Some of the poorest people in the city still live in that neighborhood! The proposal has been zorched.

Tracks are being laid and streets are being dug up, but why anyone would use the route eludes me. It really does not go anywhere useful.

Which museum?

Some of the best chocolate in the world comes from this shop in my neighborhood, which was there when my father moved into this house in 1923. I've sent it all over the world, including Germany (where they know good chocolate) and it has gotten good reviews!

The lunatic administration that rammed the streetcar through is getting its way. City council members were elected who said they would zorch the streetcar changed their minds immediately after their election, which I will NOT forget. I suspect the thing will die for lack of operating funds, but only after running for a year or so.

I like his approach, but of course, ALL the drivers should have just driven right over the stupid mofos and turned them into roadkill.
