But we were supposed to shut the heck up and just vote for Chochran, McConnel, Roberts, and all establishment candidates, because they would surely stand as an opposition party.

Thanks again for the con job GOPe. I’m glad I voted my conscious and not just a blanket R ticket.

“Every House member needs to remember one thing when deciding who and where they will fight.
ERIC CANTOR.
It can and WILL happen to you if you don’t grow a spine and FIGHT both Boehner and Emperor Nero.”

Do you mean the Eric Cantor that will now make millions in the private sector and still get to hang out with his fellow members of the east coast elitist class?

Boehner is a colossal failure.

Quite to the contrary, he is an unabashed success, he just has different objectives than you do.

Vote Republican the party that cares about????

You knew the GOPe RINOs couldn’t hold their pee.

Come on. They want this as badly as the Dems -- the Chamber, Business Roundtable, and National Association of Mfrs, worse.

Boehner is worthless.

He's worth a lot, to the people determined to drive compensation levels and weekly workloads back to what they were in 1915.

“But Mr. Boehner said any strategy to defund the president’s plans for immigration and amnesty isn’t the way to go”

So, what is the way to go? I don’t believe boehner has any idea. This is what he wants and doesn’t care how he gets it. I wish these rino bastards would quit using the term “conservative” the only thing it describes aout most of them is their suits.

Keep an eye on the budget bill. If it is a continuing resolution that funds the government for the rest of the fiscal year (until Oct. 1, 2015) then we are getting screwed. If it just funds until the new Congress is seated in January 2015, then we have a chance.

Beware the disruptors!

In the phrase, “shutting down the entire government,” the key word is, “ENTIRE.” As someone who works in government, I have it on very good authority that the current strategy is to pass appropriations for MOST departments, but refuse to fund appropriations that could be used on the amnesty.

Of course. Boehner & McConnell sold out to big biz(crony capitalists), and the Chamber of Commerce.

I was just thinking that this morning! Just as they did with marijuana and will slowly do with the other drugs: Make it legal. End of problem.

As I posted above, the key is the term of the budget. Yesterday in the interview of Sen.-elect Tom Cotton on Meet The Press, F. Chuck laid out the trap that the Pubblies should fund the government except for Homeland Security for the whole year. Cotton did not bite and said doing that would cede Congress’ power of the purse.

The term of the budget will definitely be the fight between the GOP establishment types and the Tea Party. I hope Boner and McConnell do not poison the relationship by ramming through a one year budget in the next few days.

It is almost certain that Hussein will veto a short term budget resolution and shut down the government. I think that is a publicity battle the GOP can win but the test will be whether they have the backbone to fight it. If they do not, they might as well pass a resolution that Hussein is our fearless leader for life and kiss our republic goodbye.

Buried in a NY Times article about a lovely lady who started a foundation to provide transportation to abortion mills for poor women:

McConnell plans a law to make abortion after 20 weeks illegal in every state.

Is this true?

Paging conservative Republican apologist! Paging conservative Republican apologist! Your Republican slave masters are being attacked and shown for the liberal traitors they are with their own words! Your defense of their traitorous actions is required and demanded at this time!

Gather us around the Holiday fires for another crock of Boston Baked Bull and tell us all once again how all would be right in the world with McConnell and Boehner were just running Congress and if we supported these strong “conservative” Republicans.

None of what the Republicans are doing is a surprise. Faux outrage in public, high fives and congrats in private and slapping down the conservatives once again just so they know their place.

As things currently stand, conservatives have overwhelming latent political power, and almost no real political power.
