There is some good debate and conversation happening in the wake of the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases. But there is also plenty of nonsense. Consider this gem from the New York Times editorial of this morning about police arrests: "there can never be a justification for any lethal assault on an unarmed man." How absurd.
In Ferguson, there is evidence that Michael Brown was attempting to wrest the officer's gun away. Should Darren Wilson have waited until Brown was successful before defending himself? Whatever the facts from Staten Island, if a single officer finds himself in a struggle with a suspect the size of Eric Garner, is he not entitled to fight for his own life?

Superior numbers of men using minimal violence to subdue a law breaker is as old as civilization. Morbidly obese career criminals on the other hand? That’s uniquely American.
I am supposing because resisting arrest is not in itself a killing offense. Ya think?
The word “unarmed” needs to be replaced with a word that indicates ability to do physical damage to another. Not being good at language, what would that word be?

I won't go so far as to say "never". But I would think that lethal force should be the option of last resort and not the first choice. I'm not sure that's true anymore.
They think, or are pretending to think for nefarious purposes, that “unarmed” means “helpless”.
Given the clairvoyance the Slimes seems to possess, they failed to published the death of Eric Garner as result of lethal force beforehand. They share, implicitly, in his death. Burn the Old Gray Lady down.

I searched the NYTimes site for:
“Zemir Begic”
and found nothing on the site but a 77 word Associated Press release that had no reference to the print edition with no mention of Blacks, Whites or UNARMED.
I have not seen any mention of Zemir Begic on national TV “news” nor my local Official Obama Hearst Owned Orifice and Outlet print edition.

This guy was standing on a street corner selling smokes. He didn't assault the cops or anyone else.
My landlord in 1980 was Bruce Lee`s cousin, Mr. *** Lee. He was 5’4” tall, 150 pounds . His hands were registered with Oakland police as deadly weapons. He could not use his hands in a fight or confrontation but merely threaten and demonstrate to the attacker that he would be killed, which was usually enough to deter anyone or else call the cops.. But if the attacker was armed he would be very quickly disarmed or killed by Mr. Lee. No problem. I saw him confront a 300 pound man who was armed with an axe. The 300 pounder retreated very fast and ran away.
