Topeka Police were forced to use deadly force after a 19 year old suspect, involved in several crimes, refused to put down his weapon.I do object to this wording. It reissues police statements as if they are simply fact.
Now in all likelihood the police statements ARE fact, but the reporter has no way to know that unless he witnessed the events himself.

Since Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, And Hopalong Cassidy disappeared from the scene the law enforcement people have gone berserk. I’ve seen all of them shoot the gun out of the hand of the villan... now the police needlessly just shoot the thug hoping to not be shot by the perp. When will the good guys come back.....very sad...I guess! ....They could all draw their gun real quick too....and Hopalong had two of them and they faced backward so he had to draw crosshanded!!!!!!Now that was a true hero!

I write reports and to be accurate I cannot state as a fact something simply reported to me by someone else. It’s hearsay.
He had just enrolled in a community college and was getting his life on track...
And I liked it because it made it easier for the perps to take his gun. LOL
Cops should’ve sat down with him and talked to him about his problems and hugged and gave him money to help him out.../s

I see the problem, they didn't say "pleeze". They dissed the poor boy, then shot him down like a dog.
Mama always told us to say please and thank you, or you're welcome, and to be especially courteous if you suspect the other guy packs a gun. Next time you're in a life and death (yours) situation be sure to be courteous.
