Santa delivered a lot of guns
The Washington Compost ^ | December 25, 2014 | Michael S. Rosenwald

The other day I wrote about an increasingly popular gift for wives from their husbands — guns. Big guns. Little guns. Pink guns. Even Hello Kitty guns. But Christmas is a big gun day not just for women but for husbands, sons, grandsons, daughters, granddaughters…you get the point. People will argue about guns for more hours than “It’s a Wonderful Life” has historically been broadcast, but guns remain an important part of many, many lives, so it’s only natural that Santa was very busy crossing state lines delivering guns big and small.

Here are some happy new gun owners and their guns:

I saw your back and forth comments with the anti-gun nuts at the wapo article comments. How dare you destroy their perception of a perfect world of no guns, rainbows and unicorns...and...

I can never tell if a WaPo comment thread will go to 100 comments or 1,000. But I jump in when I can.

Most assassins, spies, hit-men, etc. use .22’s.

If someone is threatening you with 10-15 feet or less, that pistol will kill them just as dead as a .45.

Commenter Matt Bracken wrote an outstanding multi-part response.

Gotta love the idiot who wrote we have an “inalienable right to be free from gun violence.”

2 Christmas movies feature young boys with guns defending their homes against crooks.
“A Christmas Story”
“Home Alone”

And George Wallace. And did kill Robert Kennedy, IIRC.

self-defense with a gun is not “gun violence.” self-defense stops gun violence, which is what the thug crimnal is doing.

there’s the assumptive fatal flaw in the libtard argument.

What is the story on Walmart scaling back on its selection of firearms? They hardly have any listed. Have they knuckled in to the anti-gun politicians?

This time of year they might simply be sold out. There are always guns at the Wallys I frequent.

The Taurus PT-22, or as it’s known by journalism majors: A Glock AK-15.

That’s one cute little gun that shoots cute little bullets that you could not hit a cute little turd in the outhouse with the door shut.

Well, it's no match gun. I have a Taurus PT-22 Poly, and I like it for what it is. It's more ergonomic than the alloy PT-22, and it disappears in a front pocket. It's been 100% dependable within the first 50 rounds after a cleaning, after which dirt starts to trip stovepipes. Which is fine considering its intended use.

As far as accuracy goes, it will keep all rounds on paper at 15 yards, but not 25, which is also fine.

I have one of these:
North American Arms 5 shot revolver 1 1/2" barrel in .22

You'd be lucky to hit the doorway on the other side of the room.

Most attacks occur at under 7 yards. Likely at arm’s reach. A very compact gun is more likely to be on you when needed than a .44 magnum.
