How will Washington change with Republican Congress in 2015?

Change is coming to Washington in 2015 with the Republicans controlling the House and Senate for the first time in eight years. They will have their largest House majority in more than 75 years.

The outgoing Congress managed to agree on a spending bill to keep the government running, but a recent Pew Research Center poll suggests Americans are not cheerful about the future. Only 20 percent believe President Obama and Republican leaders will make significant progress on the country's biggest problems.

The upcoming 2016 presidential elections will also be part of the discourse. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is the first to say he's interested in running for the White House.

CBS News political director John Dickerson, congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes and CBS contributor and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan joined "CBS This Morning" to highlight what to look out for in 2015.

Inevitable clashes between parties

"At the same time everyone is singing 'Kumbaya' and saying they want to work together, Republicans have a whole host of issues that they're going to want to work on now that they control all of Congress," Cordes said.

"In the past," Noonan said, "every two years I have thought, 'Ah, the president is going to absorb a lot from this one. He's going to change his ways.' He has never changed his ways.

And he won't because he's an arrogant SOB.

Pubs in Congress need to elect new leadership and show conservative governance if they want a chance of winning again in 2016.

Past is prologue: the American people want the same ol’ same ol’, and if not, they’re getting it anyway.

How will Washington change with Republican Congress in 2015?

Big, big changes on the way!

The loot and sweetheart deals will now go to supporters of republicans instead of supporters of democrats.

Only around election times do we see the term Republicans. There are no Constitution-respecting Republicans in DC imo, only Democrats and RINOs.

It won’t change very much with the Republican wing of Uniparty in the majority instead of the Democrat wing running things.

The countries biggest problems are 1. the democrat party. 2. the media( democrat party again)2. Obama (democrat party again). 3. government(mostly brought to this size by democrats) 4. illegals and 3rd world immigrants (brought here by democrats’ 1965 immigration act).

get rid of these 4 problems then we’ll have no more problems.

How will Washington change? Not by nearly enough. “Go along to get along” will still be the word in BOTH houses of Congress, and the Current Occupant of the White Hut will just simply double down on his “Pen and Phone” doctrine.

The logjam is still building up....

My only prediction for 2015 & 2016 is;
At least one Republican a month will be accused of racism or making a racially charged statement or being a homophobe or sexist pig or channeling money to his/her rich friends or something equally dastardly.

There are three political parties. The Establishment, which is made up of the Crony Capitalists, both Democrat and Republican, the Conservatives and the Communists.

Of the three, only the Communists and the Conservatives can win national office. The Communists need to convince the voting public that they the Crony Captalists and the Conservatives need to convince the voters that they aren’t.
