Its a case of Ockham’s Razor. Failure of exercise equipment — while being used by an old man no less — is a ridiculously complicated explanation and therefore an unlikely cause. Give the type of his injuries, common sense tells you he got an a$$ whooping that was probably payback for not being able to deliver something promised after having lost his position.
Furthermore, he’s a Democrat so you know he’s lying about this. Its what they do.
