Glenn Beck Unloads on GOP Rep. for Voting for John Boehner in Fiery Radio Interview
The Blaze ^ | 1.6.15 | Erica Ritz

Posted on 01/06/2015 5:49:00 PM PST by Mozilla

Glenn Beck on Tuesday tore into Congressman Chris Stewart (R-Utah) over his decision to vote for John Boehner as speaker of the House, saying he believes Stewart — who has been his friend for years — is losing his soul.

Beck asked the congressman whether it was Boehner’s decision to fund Obamacare, his support of the CRomnibus bill, or his decision to continually delay any action in opposing President Barack Obama’s agenda that garnered his support.

Stewart said the allegations against Boehner aren’t true, and continued: “I think in the time we have here, we can’t go back and review the last two, or four, or six years of votes you may or may not agree with him on. But the bottom line is this: I think we should be celebrating today, and it’s discouraging to me that instead this has become such a divisive day. We had a great election in November. … For the first time we’ve got a united front where we can oppose President Obama.”

“We have a united Congress, and they’re giving the green light to the president on amnesty,” Beck said. “They’re giving a green light on the CRominbus — that’s a trillion dollars, Chris!”

Beck reversed and analogized the situation, asking Stewart what he would do if he found Beck in a brothel, insisting that he wasn’t doing anything wrong and was just friends with all the women.

Stewart laughed. “Well, it depends, Glenn. How attractive are the young ladies in the brothel, right?”

Beck shook his head. “You told, us, Chris, to come down on you like a bag of bricks if we ever felt you were losing your soul. This is bag of bricks time. We think you’re losing your soul.”

Stewart said he appreciated Beck’s words, but remained firm in his decision, saying he thinks Beck may have misunderstood some of his previous stances.

“I do think that there are times where, you and I agree, that you’ve indicated, that I haven’t agreed with you,” Stewart said. “I think you’ve indicated that I’ve said or implied things that I certainly haven’t, and I never have. And I think you and I agree on far more than we disagree.”

“It is the game, Chris,” Beck said heatedly. “You’re playing the game. Stop playing the game!”

“You don’t think we can do better, Chris?” Beck’s co-host Stu Burguiere added. “You don’t think we can do better than John Boehner?”

“Listen, gentlemen, who do you suppose that we should support here?” Stewart retorted.

All three immediately said Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert would make a far better speaker than John Boehner.

“Do you know how many votes Louie Gohmert will get?” Stewart said. “As much as I like Louie, he’s not the person to lead the house right now.”

“But John Boehner is?” Beck said.

“We can agree to disagree on that,” Stewart remarked.

Beck told Stewart that people are “done” with the kind of games he is playing, and that he will not be re-elected if he continues playing politics against the interests of the American people.

“Glenn, I disagree with you,” Stewart said. “I think that by 2016, when the American people see what the Republicans have been trying to do for the last years, when we now have allies in the Senate who will help us to do those things in the next two years, we’re going to be able to move forward on the REINS Act, on reforming Obamacare, or eliminating Obamacare –”

“I don’t believe you,” Beck said flatly. “There’s no evidence. You’ve never done it, Chris! It’s never happened!”

Beck concluded by saluting Stewart for having the courage to come on the show, but reiterated that he is “worried” about the man’s soul.

Well that explains some of it then, eh?

Don’t you think conservatives are a bit of the automatic sorts and didn’t really hop out there and start trying the standard until the 2008 elections? It’s a little herky-jerky learning.

Conservatives are not usually ones to rally and raise a ruckus. We’ve got families we are raising, we are working and expect things to go along pretty civilly. Vote maybe write a letter.

We’re waking up to what jackazzes the people we elect are and how badly they betray us. Maybe you could let us pop the clutch a bit without breathing down our backs so harshly?

Of course they did but Mitt would have been better than Obama by far, but 4 million brain dead Pubbies forgot to vote for him. The Pubs in Congress are all apparently Rinos now.

Benedict Gruber Bonehead emasculated the newly elected members of the house for the first year of their two year term by eliminating them having any meaningful input on FUNDING!

Bonehead gave B.O. funding through the end of September.

What states were those four million in? What was the high point of conservative support for a presidential candidate?

“The RINO leaders will do a few little things around the margins, hoping that that satisfies us. Then they’ll be offended when it doesn’t.”

They have nothing but more lies to offer us. They have already under their esteemed leader given away all their leverage. The only thing they can do now is things Obama wants to do, as Obama holds all the cards with his Veto.

We must hold them accountable for what they have foolishly done and remind them every day just how impotent and worthless they are because of it.

For most of the next year the only thing they can do is serve and expand this evil which they have already funded.

They are not worthy of our vote or our support. It is time to turn our backs upon them and look elsewhere for our security. Its time to boycott the Faithless federal party.

"Yes, sounds like the old, original Beck before he went crazy.

Maybe he’s back on his meds and making sense again. Hard to forgive him after his support of the illegal alien children’s crusade this past summer."

It's only momentary. He'll go off the rails again soon.

As for the weasel being interviewed, notice he said REFORM Obamacare, not defund or repeal it.

Not sure how many lessons the instructors in the GOP need to give you to just accept the truth. It’s not like we havent been saying this and getting mocked like hell over it since 2008. you think maybe its tiring to come to a conservative site every day and listen to the same tired excuses over and over by the dame group of determined sycophants no matter how much proof you truck and send in by aircraft carrier size delivery?

Everyone knows the concept of tough love. Sometimes people need some. Thats all. Naturally the subjects of interventions don’t like the truth at first.

And was completely condescending, in the ‘I know what’s best for you’ tone.

Something strange is going on... traps are being set.. battle plans are being drawn.. Gohmert promised a war tonight, and I believe him.

The main takeaway is over the last year, low-infos hard-hit by zeros policies are learning a bit about how their .gov works, the shenanigans.

Yep, he was openly contemptuous. Knew he could get away with it...the corruption is just so, so deep.

"The main takeaway is over the last year, low-infos hard-hit by zeros policies are learning a bit about how their .gov works, the shenanigans"

I hope they keep on learning. My local news did an on-the-street poll of what people think will happen in DC now. I wanted to bang my head every time someone said, "Well, I hope now everyone can come together/work together, etc., etc."

That will likely happen, though...gutless Repubs are already rolling over and showing their bellies.

“I tend to agree. I’ve never belonged to any party, but have always been more agreeable with republicans. Now, I’m not agreeable with EITHER party. Both parties have done nothing but sell out our family every since I’ve been of working age.

I guess it would help if I was a billionaire and could write the big checks.”

I think there is something to be said for the corruption of money and politics being a commonality that it is so easy to pay off a few to impose about the many and in doing so suppress competition.

The problem is you cannot police the police man who decides and enforces the rules.

This was the point of the Constitution to limit the State so that it had not the power or influence worth buying while keeping the Local and State authorities that did have such domestic power in competition with each-other thus held inherently accountable by the same.

But Washington does not live by any Constitution except that which it alone defines and redefines at a whim. As a result it is completely impossible to control the corruption, you can only bury it with laws that suppress some corruption at the advantage of the corruption of those in power.

We might start to correct this by restoring that balance and as it is the only way i see that happening is by way of our States. Not because our state leaders are noble heroes, Believe me they are as corrupt and power hungry as any in Washington. But because many of them genuinely are power hungry for the power of Washington.

We uses what limited influence we have left to empower them to strip down Washington we can then begin to fore a reshaping of the playing field away from the corruption in a state by state competition that follows.

I say this because believe it or not corruption costs a society and state as a whole. When States like New York and Californian install a system of law that suppressed some industry in favor of politically powerful interest that costs the state as a whole both jobs and productive people.

ultimately the State is forced to recognize its failure and reform. This is why New York is not Russia, and Illinois now has a republican Governors.

We must first reconize whom we are and what power we have, and uses that power accordingly.

We the people have largly lost control of Washington, we have limited control of our State leaders. But we can still do as our founders did and play intrest against intrest.

Let us call forth a Constitutional convention and restore the power of our States while striping Washington of its usurped domestic authority. Starting with the Federal injustice system led by those 9 federal employees in black robes.

It may be frustrating for you but it also helps bring some of us along.

I had strong opinions of things and Freepers have done much to help me shed many of those old ideas and opinions.

Yes, I still need work and there’s lots for me to learn but I doubt I would have bothered if there was only one rigid lock-step path to the same end destination.

The gift of patience is patience.

“Well, I hope now everyone can come together/work together, etc., etc.”

That’s the lie of a meme they’re pushing on FNC, too.

That’s why the smooching between JB and Pelosi today, too.

That’s the Chamber of Commerce meme: ‘look! everybody’s getting along and working together and everything will be fine!’.

Except America did not hand the Rs the electoral victory they did because everything’s ‘fine’, they expect war on the RATS, and are being told they’re not getting it.

I wish some really big-name stars would re-make They Live, and accelerate the awakening of the masses.
