Barack Obama is calling on Congress to authorise continued military action in the Middle East, following growing criticism that his existing air strikes in Iraq and Syria lacked the necessary legally underpinning.
In excerpts from his sixth State of the Union speech released early by the White House, the president also suggests that the coalition fight against the Islamic State will continue for months if not years to come.
“This effort will take time. It will require focus. But we will succeed,” he will say. “And tonight, I call on this Congress to show the world that we are united in this mission by passing a resolution to authorize the use of force against Isil.”

Obama is FINALLY being forced to acknowledge that his Iraq withdrawal policy was a disaster, one that has cost THOUSANDS of lives.
But, of course, the media won't spin it that way.
Lindsey Graham was just on CNN saying he will support it, and that we must have a NO-FLY ZONE over Syria, and take out Assad, as well.
look, airstrikes aren’t going to win any war no matter how many we do.

What Obama calls for and what he intend are likely two very different things.
He calls to continue the fight “against” ISIS but that likely means another country falling to ISIS.
Assad is actually a “good Guy” and we should be allied with him.

That’s a pretty damning thing to say, but you are correct.
Lindsey Graham and John McCain never met a military option they didn’t favor. Just saying that Graham being in favor of it doesn’t make it righteous, even if it is righteous.
I am basically certain that Obama is a racist, Communist, Muslim but every now and then something happens which I can’t completely understand.
For instance the killing of Osama. I think it may have been that he had no other choice but I am not certain what was going on.
Still, I am basically certain about him overall.
By sending them guns, missiles and money.
Sure, I’d vote for it...on one condition, that every single Democrat in politics and/or the media who spent years ridiculing Bush for it make a crawling public apology. Short of that, nope.
