Berkeley students outraged course reading includes Plato, Aristotle but nothing from transgenders

Two students at the University of California, Berkeley are calling for students to “Occupy the syllabus,” or consider dropping a course if it only includes the works of white men as class material.

Students Rodrigo Kazuo and Margaret “Meg” Perret wrote an op-ed in The Daily Californian, the independent student newspaper, titled “Occupy the syllabus” where they called for a student-wide occupation of all social science and humanities classes after they found their upper-division course on classical social theory lacked the works of women, trans people, and people of color.

“The course syllabus employed a standardized canon of theory that began with Plato and Aristotle, then jumped to modern philosophers: Hobbes, Locke, Hegel, Marx, Weber and Foucault, all of whom are white men,” wrote the students. “The syllabus did not include a single woman or person of color.”

Best approach would be to identify the ringleaders, then their pay source, then go after them, picking them off and disposing of them one by one.

Maybe they could add Bodecia, Joan of Arc and the heroic Greek Women of Zalongo

The Dance of Zalongo (Greek: Χορός του Ζαλόγγου, Horos tou Zalongou) was a mass suicide of women from Souli and their children during the Souliote War of 1803, near the village of Zalongo in Epirus, in the then-Ottoman Empire

The accompanying video song complete with English language subtitles should be mandatory.

What idiots.
If there were any “transgenders” in ancient times, they weren’t writing books on philosophy.

Well, Al Sharpton pointed that out in a more eloquent way: “taught philosophy before Socrates and dem Greek Homos ever did”

They could just add Michelle Obama’s college thesis to the course reading list and end the controversy.

Access PDF of thesis here: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8642.html

Boycott...fine, they already paid for the course...no attendance to me means a failure.

Meanwhile, if they want some material about fags and the transgenders, they are close enought to ground zero for that, just cross the bridge and stop in the Castro District. They can consider that a lab or a field trip.

At my alma mater, disrupting classes was an academic offense that could result in discipline. I don't suppose that matters at Berzerkeley.

I have heard it put much more rudely, but it comes as a revelation to a lot of these brats that historical thinkers considered who you liked to have sex with to be a private matter and that intellectual life transcended it.

Law is about translation, namely translating classical texts. But I guess no one wants to translate truth factually rejecting transgender dangerous “creativity” in matters of truth.

Good grief.

Ever since 3 shrinks said homosexuality/cross dressing was not a mental illness we have let the loons out of the nuthouse and now we have them and their supporters thinking it’s OK now.

Go to school get an education, not perversion.
