The Arab Street respects power and despises weakness. The Obama administration is perceived to be weak because it is weak and therefore it is despised in the Arab world and, by extension, by the Muslim world.

The United States under Obama has not only pandered but affirmatively supported Islamist extremists in Iran, Egypt and elsewhere. The result is the enemies of America are emboldened and those who might in reason be sympathetic to American values are demoralized and isolated. These symptoms of Obama's misfeasance are only magnified in the Muslim world.

The United States has offered no alternative vision to Muslim youth who are flocking to the winning side. There is no downside to it if the very worst of the murderers are released by America to secure the repatriation of a deserter.

We need our commander-in-chief to articulate a policy in Churchillian terms: we are right, they are wrong; we win, they lose. Our aim is victory our policy is to wage war.
