I wasn’t talking about whether the press was working or not, I was talking about the laws that apply to the press, also apply to your website. You are doing the same thing as printing a paper.

"new rules, proposed this week, “to preserve the Internet as an open platform for innovation and free expression."

You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

I’ve seen websites where anyone could say anything. ON youtube i’ve seen some really weird things said in the comments section even the left’s most serious crime the N word. many other examples

to prove you wrong i’ll start a web site where any one can say practically anything.

Net neutrality: tax words because words belong to the government to regulate. This is more than internet taxing but speech taxing over all.

Well, if I sell Coke, no one should come and change the recipe indeed because they do not like coca cola. A site owner has inherent themes and leads of investigation to pursue. Obama wants to infringe on redress of grievances.

Just like they are redefining marriage, they are redifining who is a daughter and they will redefine what is speech or neutral speech to us.

Wait til someone starts posting pedophilia stuff and promoting it, and the homosexuals with their gay marriage, the Islamists and how to build bombs to plant in schools and shopping centers, and the abortionists with unlimited abortion and the Obama-bots and raving about how good Obama is ... LOL ...

you don't understand

if you take the Internet as a whole there are so many websites that practically every viewpoint is expressed and every bit of information.

you are talking about individual web sites . that makes no sense .any one can start a web site and give all their opinions on anything on their own web site : so how is this not free speech. you are wanting to allow anyone do say anything on any site but the only way for that is to supposedly get the government involved in that so they could “fix” that as if they've fixed anything. you don't understand that a web site is like a your home. do you want anyone to be able to come into your home or do you believe in property rights and then you say well we have no freedom because a home owner won't allow me in his home and allow me do to anything in his home or say anything in his home. no you need private property rights for freedom to work for capitalism to work. everyone doesn't have the right to go to into your house and stay there. only by invitation. we are here on a private site and the owner can kick us out just as if you let a friend in and he says some things you don't like then you can kick him out.

I think it’s you that doesn’t understand. I’m all for kicking someone out if you are the owner. There’s no problem with that as far as I’m concerned.

What I’m talking about is the RIDICULOUS IDEA that there is such a thing as “free speech” on the Internet ... so that a bunch of IDIOTS run around on the Internet saying to the owners of these websites ... “You are violating my free speech rights! ... when they get deleted or banned ...LOL ...

There is NO SUCH THING AS FREE SPEECH for any poster on the Internet! They are CONTROLLED on every website and forum, according to the whims and wishes of the owner of the website or forum ... SO they are IDIOTS for demanding “free speech” on the Internet ... :-) ...

you see speech , and private property rights as the problem

and you want to trust the real problem which is the government to fix something that isn’t broken

government isn’t the solution to any problem government (and the media) are the problem

Now with very little government regulation of the Internet , almost all viewpoints are expressed on the Internet so how is that not freedom of speech? it is . and also you can find almost any information and solve most problems that you have using Google and the Internet. you can learn any skill etc. how is this so bad and you want the FCC to ruin this. you can find exceptions to anything but that is the exception to prove the rule . The sites you mention are what percentage of the INternet? much less than .00001% so for this you want to ruin this great way for people to communicate , express ideas, learn ,solve problems for such a small percentage of things some don’t like or say are dangerous

no one has the right to go into your home when they want to . that’s private property rights. similarly no one has the right to say anything on a private site just as they don’t have the right to say anything in your house.

no you are looking at 1 site. I’m looking at the whole Internet and there is free speech on the Internet because anyone can create a web site and say what they want on the site they own. almost every viewpoint is expressed on the Internet.

All the sites are the same ... in that they ALL are controlled and NO ONE can go on ANY of those websites or forums and get any “free speech” other than what the owner allows!

Now what you are saying is that ... “Everyone has free speech in their own living room” ... LOL ...

OF COURSE everyone has free speech in THEIR OWN LIVING ROOM ... but on the Internet there is NO PLACE where EVERYONE get free speech, as there would be in “real life” where there are “public spaces” for free speech for anyone and everyone. There’s the difference. But, that’s the nature of the Internet, and as I said, I don’t have problem with owners of websites CONTROLLING their own property.

PBS is dying for a krystal nacht.

It will not be burning books but breaking the iphones and computer screen of pesky conservatives voicing opinions disqualifying the judges and Civil Servant Union that the Federal State has become.

The FCC wants to tax, another code word for issuing iphones, data and burning the rest.

Peopleophobe haha... New one. This admin is not people o phobe if they oppose the “people” without fear, whatever people means.

Let us hope the admin fear God, but I digress.

This is like “Gun Sense” legislation. It makes no sense the ATF tells me how to shoot my gun or decides on my styles, legislating instead of Congress, and by the same token it makes no sense the FCC becomes like the ATF, limiting through taxes the amount or quality of speech.

Scary stuff, lock and load.

Today I can create a web site called www.FreeSpeechZone.com where anyone can type anything at all that they want to with no censorship from me at all. so that disproves your theory that there is no free speech on the Internet on individual sites . However if you allow more gov regulation or net neutrality I would never be able to create such a site and you know it.

Sorry ... I can GUARANTEE YOU that site would be shut down in days, by whomever you contracted with for either web space or bandwidth, as soon as Pedophilia promoters started posting their stuff. And that would be done precisely because you violated someone else’s CONTROLS on the Internet ... LOL ...

We don’t even have to invoke Pedophilia ... we can just be talking about someone posting a favorite movie of theirs or a song that they like. Pirate Bay comes to mind here ... :-) ...

You’ll either CONTROL IT whether you like it or not ... OR ... someone else will CONTROL YOU (law enforcement, lawsuit, courts, etc.).

But we don’t even have to talk about copyright violations either, we can just talk about not liking Obama, to the point where people start posting threatening remarks and also encouraging violence against him ... You’ll either delete those or else your site will be shut down whether you like it or not.

SO NO ... you WILL CONTROL IT or you’ll be taken offline!
