And let’s not forget the “fairness” doctrine for talk radio.

More government control, and not one American voted for this or had any say in the matter.
Control/regulation of everything is the obvious goal.

I did not know that the internet was broken to the point of needing government intervention.

Net neutrality may be a worthy concept, but the problem as always is that the Left has hijacked this issue. the chances that we will now have censorship on the Internet has just increased ten-fold with this "ruling". Yup, that's how I see it too.

ANOTHER power grab through the unelected bureaucracy, AND the GOP has completed defanged itself by surrendering their power of impeachment and the purse to little boy dick tator Barry Soetoro.
I so am done with the GOP, have conservatives tried for 6 years to take back the party unsuccessfully? It is way past time to move on - yes we must relegate the GOP to turd party status. The real answer is Article V, since the power brokers in the District of Corruption own and run both parties/

How about DEFUNDING the FCC? Oh that's right the GOP wants to get along with the American Destroying RAT party and so have vowed never to "SHUT THE GOV DOWN", whatever that means. The last time the "GOV WAS SHUT" down by Cruz, 83% of Gov employees still reported to work and the 17% got a 17 day paid vacation courtesy of you and me.
I am at the point of completely ignoring the "news" for the next two years, after already ignoring TV and the printed "NEWS"papers.

The hackers will be able to work this out. The government can’t control them.

We can create an alternate internet. Nothing is so special about The Internet. Remember FidoNet?
Well, better hurry up, they are going to grab this one as soon as they can. Then come controls and taxes within weeks.

The hackers will be able to work this out. The government cant control them.Indeed. This is one arena in which the government is hopelessly outclassed, at least in terms of their ability to suppress freedom of speech. Technology -- some of which we haven't even ENVISIONED yet -- will find a way around anything the government can cook up. I just thought of one: Suppose little tiny drones were flitting around, physically, exchanging data by plugging in to one another and our computers? I know, ridiculous, but this is an example of the myriad ways around the government stomping on the First Amendment.
This is a fight they will lose.
Not to mention the huge problems such an activity will generate. Look at what China is going through: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/30/world/asia/china-clamps-down-still-harder-on-internet-access.html?ref=topics&_r=0

[[Net neutrality may be a worthy concept,]]
Worthy concept? So I’m free to give my opinion so long as I follow the rules and include a dissenting opinion along with it? I’m pretty sure our constitution didn’t include that qualifier in the first amendment-

[[for a hundred years the left/democrats had a monopoly on information CBS,NBC,ABC,PBS, NYTimes , newspapers all socialist propaganda outlets]]
And then when fox news, rush Limbaugh and other conservative names began appearing- all of a sudden the information highway ‘isn’t ‘fair’ anymore- For a 100 years liberal news and information whores dominated and their view was the only one available, but now that they have competition, they feel they must control how it is presented? And this is fair’? One can’t give an opinion without now beign required by law to include a dissenting opinion alongside it? I’m pretty sure our first amendment didn’t include such a qualifier to free speech

they first tried to get people to spy on others for htem- even setting up a government website for snitches to ‘report anything unusualy’ (IE: Report and negative comments about Obama or his policies) - and hten they ran ads trying to get people to ‘watch for anythgin suspicious and to immediately report it’ and when these requests fell flat- they then began to forcibly take over the internet in an effort to force people to comply and to keep tabs on everything THEY deem ‘non-compliant’ with their mandates-

[[Our Government is to big if they’re sitting around thinking up useless ideas like this.]]
Ah, but it’;s not a useless idea- they will rake in hundreds of billions of dollars In the forms of fines, fees, and surcharches and taxes- it’s just one more avenue for the government to reach into our pockets and take OUR hard earned money- Apparently the government is too inept to make money themselves, and so they have to resort to STEALING OUR money any which way they can-
