We can draw specific conclusions from this.

Businesses like Netflix and Pandora etc. have taken the idea of a monthly subscription to watch or listen to digital media and ran with it.
More and more people don't even bother to download or purchase music or movies etc. because you can usually find a subscription service or an on demand service that has a large selection of what is popular.
Big Media don't really want this business strategy. They want to LOCK-UP digital media and squeeze every dollar they can get like they were doing 20 years ago. So they definitely want the government to take over so they can buy the politicians to get the control over the Internet. They want such so they can fleece the citizens of the USA and the world even more.
It doesn't matter if you are for or against so-called net neutrality there is no pro or con. In the end it is all about control by Big Media And they will have their way no matter what moniker the government hangs on it.
The commies and Nazis win another big one. Americans and free people all over the globe lose again.

Nothing, I been working in computers for 25 years this is yet another scam perpetrated by the Obama regime no different from the climate change scam, the Amnesty scam, the Obamacare scam, its only purpose being to enslave the people yet again to the government.

Let’s remember that the original idea and construction was by government (DARPA) to share government “information”.

It was supposed to save time in so many wonderful ways. But I would say that for every hour saved in creating productive things, 100 hours are now spent wasting time in idle entertainment.
The purpose of todays internet: to distract, dehumanize, and debauch.
Not a dumb question. There are already private VPN/ISP’s out there.
The problem, from what I understand, is the infrastructure involved. Fiber optic cables, servers, and the like.
The best way around that, I assume, is to obtain satellite only based internet service only and form Co-Ops and companies. That’s how radio gets around the FCC.
But guarantee this is literally a move which will oversee all internet traffic and data - everywhere. Just like the radio and TV. You have to be able to access the WWW in order to get really anything and I think at that point you would be subject to FCC rules and regulations? I dunno. Even if it was your server or your satellite?
It’s a complex issue. It’s about to get more complex, evidently.

Hey Jim - I’m just totally burnt out on these government types deciding to touch and eventually ruin, anything, that’s even remotely, good. They are actually only good at politics but presume their own unequalled expertise at EVERYTHING. We’re going to have to start over somewhere. Hopeless.
These petty tyrants should be watching their backs. You never know when an accident might happen.
