Vaccinations are a Red Herring: Real story behind the measles outbreak is being ignored by media.
American Thinker ^ | 02/05/2015 | By Brian C. Joondeph

Predictably, the measles epidemic is morphing onto a political hot potato, much like global warming. Prospective Republican presidential candidates are being quizzed about vaccinations and whether or not they should be mandatory. The assumption is that the current measles outbreak is due to low measles vaccination rates, yet no questions or answers have been put forth addressing the far more likely cause of the outbreak -- illegal immigration.

Measles, like smallpox, has been eradicated. According to the CDC, “In 2000, the United States declared that measles was eliminated from this country.” This graph illustrates how measles cases dropped dramatically after the measles vaccine was introduced in the 1960s.

Then why are we seeing this sudden surge in measles cases? Lack of vaccinations in the U.S. doesn’t cause the disease, but instead facilitates its spread. If a disease has been eradicated, vaccination is no longer necessary. The CDC reminds us, “Routine smallpox vaccination among the American public stopped in 1972 after the disease was eradicated in the United States.” Arguments about measles vaccinations are a red herring if measles has been truly eradicated.

Then why the surge in cases? The only explanation is that new cases are being introduced into the United States. Since 2001, there have typically been less than 100 measles cases per year in the U.S. In 2014, this number jumped to over 600 cases, with 102 cases alone in January of 2015. The CDC connects the dots. “Measles is still common in many parts of the world including some countries in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Africa.” Furthermore, “Travelers with measles continue to bring the disease into the U.S.” Replace “travelers” with “immigrants.”

Yes, but wrong.

The illegals ave been bringing in diseases at the same level for decades.

What has changed is the number of American’s who are not vaccinated.

That is why there is a six fold increase since 2001.

We’re still only talking about maybe 100 cases in a nation of more than 300,000,000 people. Pluse there’s the fact that measles has a fatality rate of .015%.

Yesterday someone stated that there were 145,000 odd deaths from the measles. Apparently that was a global number out of nearly 7 billion people. I don’t know where the deaths were so I can’t say for sure whether there were other factors involved like malnutrition, poor sanitation, lack of medical care etc.

Just a little perspective.

Don’t worry! MEASLES won’t kill you! Here is proof!

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19633516

“The imported epidemics of infections including measles diminished Hawaii’s population from approximately 300,000 at Captain Cook’s arrival in 1778 to 135,000 in 1820 and 53,900 in 1876.

The measles deaths of the king and queen in London in 1824, likely acquired visiting a large children’s home, was a harbinger of the devastating impact of measles upon Hawaiians 24 years later with its first arrival to the Sandwich (Hawaiian) Islands.”

WOOPS! I WAS WRONG! Get vaccinated DUM BASSES!

“Measles is still common in many parts of the world including some countries in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Africa.”

But NOT Mexico or Central America (where the vast majority of illegals are coming from). Vaccination rates across Mexico and Central America are as high (or higher) than they are here, and the measles are essentially non-existent there. The wave of illegals that Obama has let into the country have caused untold number of problems here, but the measles outbreak probably isn't one of them.

Take away the massive illegal immigration problem, and there’s probably no vaccination “problem”. Without the one, there’s no need for the other.

The second day in a row where this topic is being discussed on FNC and no mention whatsover about the timing and places of outbreaks that correlate directly with Obama's DREAM trains bringing in disease carriers. The blame is being diverted to those nutty white American, home schooling, bible clutching Neanderthals.

To make matters worse is those on the right who are cowering in fear of what the media will say that they're willing to throw out some sacrificial lambs to save themselves.

The same left wing bs happens in the food industry when we get chicken or something else polluted with e Coli..

When an e Coli outbreak happens in the food we eat, the local and state health agencies will identify the bug and farmers/growers/producers or packers and never identify the sources, which are usually 3rd world illegals with 3rd world personal cleanliness.

Yes, but while everyone is worried about the large number of immigrants from Mexico/C.A., there have been HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of 'immigrants' brought in from EUROPE, ASIA, THE PACIFIC, AND AFRICA.

Just the other day, it was revealed that our government is bringing in 75,000 Syrians. We have been taking in all kinds of 'refugees' with no criminal or medical background checks.

A secondary goal imo is to raise (hype) this issue to eventually mandate vaccinations. After all, the sheep will demand it.

Why? Well, once they are forced (through denial of medical care) that will set the precedent (supreme black robes maybe) to force medications (or denial of medical care) etc etc.
