15 February 2015 Copenhagen Shootings: Police Kill Man 'Who Opened Fire'

Police in Copenhagen say they have shot dead a man who opened fire on them close to the sites of two earlier attacks in the city.

They are investigating whether the man might be behind deadly shootings hours earlier at a cafe and near a synagogue.

In the first attack, one person was killed and two injured during a free speech debate in a cafe.

In the second, a civilian was killed and two police officers wounded near the city's main synagogue.

It was not immediately clear how the shootings may have been connected.

Early on Sunday, police said they had shot dead a man near a railway station in the neighbourhood of Noerrebro where they had been keeping an address under observation.

Barrage of gunshots The BBC's Malcolm Brabant reports from Copenhagen that the Danish capital has been abuzz with sirens and helicopters, amid fears that other attacks could be imminent.

Police have warned residents that it is not safe to be in the city centre. They launched a massive manhunt after the first shooting, which took place during a free speech debate attended by a Swedish cartoonist

All the Scandinavian countries have had substantial (and growing) Muslim populations for decades. I’m betting that this is just the tip of the iceberg there.

Face it. Islamic culture is simply not compatible with the values and practices of the West. Freedom of speech, freedom of thought, the questioning of virtually every belief or assumption, the personal liberty to arrive at an individuals own conclusions are inherent in Western culture. The open exercise of those practices are not only rare in Islamic culture but can result in the punishment and even death of anyone who dares to exercise them.

And eventually will be our problem as well.

We now have a mosque in north Orange County. Women covering their heads and men wandering around in robes is now all too common.

That entire continent resembles a stack of Danish muffins that will be consumed by the muzzies.

Euroweenies’ fate for surrendering their glorious heritage to a bunch of bearded barbarians that their ancestors fought throughout past centuries.

I think it already is! I seldom drive US99 to SoCal (normally take I5, where there’s really nothing around). But not long ago I did. There were a number of mosques there including one near Sanger just south of Fresno (FR’s home base). You just wonder what they do for a living? It’s farm country an the main population is Hispanic. They ARE here and they are up to no good in my opinion.

Congress must develop a pair and stop all Muslim immigration into this country and no more green cards for any more Muslims. When will this madness stop? Everyone complains and no spontaneous uprising by Americans. We are all being taken for a bunch of idiots.

This is our future in the U.S. unless we get a handle on the root cause problem.

The oceans will not protect us from these kinds of attacks.

The nice thing about Muslim jihadis is that they all get together at Mosques. They have to pray before they prey.
So its like bait. They all gather to the bait of Allah and thats when we get ‘em.

The oceans may not protect us but Sam Colt will. Allah may have created these jihadi camel humpers but Sam Colt made us equal.
And soon we will revisit an old theme experienced historically in the American West. These jihadist thugs will have no rest in America until they are irradicated, even if the president cannot bring himself to do it. The People will.

The question is who wishes to go first?
We all recognize the problem yet we are also decent, law-abiding, and honorable people.
Most decent people have lives, families, jobs, homes, and something for which to live.

I think that with this series of events that the media would be OK with jumping to a conclusion like maybe an Amish or TEA Party members did it.

I knew all these things, I have lived there. However you expressed it most eloquently and clearly.

I forgot to add an observation. When I lived and worked in the Middle East most of the Muslims were good honest people that just wanted to live their lives in peace. Although not radical jihadists, with rare exceptions will they oppose the jihadists in a clash of cultures between East and West. In effect they are silent supporters. That explains a lot about what is happening in the Middle East and what is not happening.

In their minds they are choosing the lesser of two evils. The king of Jordan is an exception. He is a good and honorable man and the same can be said of Egypts leader, Abdel Fattah al-Sissi. Those two are at the top of the Jihadist’s list for murder.

Men like the King of Jordan (Or Mubarak or Saddam etc) can keep the islamists in check, but only temporarily. The evil koranic doctrines will always reappear, generation after generation. Secular "strong man" leaders are only a temporary solution.

Wrong. Subhuman savage.

Correct me if wrong, but in Denmark hand guns are also banned unless you are licensed, and you can only get that license if you compete in tournaments, and the guns have to be kept in a safe at the club where you practice.

In order to get a permit to own a rifle you have to participate in a course that takes 3 months to complete.

You also have to be 20 years old.

This hopolophobia (fear of the armed citizen) will be the death of the West—at least in Europe, anyway.

After all—”when seconds count, the police are only MINUTES AWAY”.
