Here in western Colorado we are having the mildest winter (to date) in the last several years. Played golf yesterday with temperatures in the low sixties. Last winter the golf courses closed around Thanksgiving and didn't re-open till mid-March.

If you forget completely about February, it has been a fairly mild winter here in SW Pennsylvania.

LOL...the ground was bare as late as January 20th or so here in soviet Red Hampshire...now they are closing schools due to the weight of the snow on the roofs. They aren't big believers in G-d here in Red England, but they should be thanking Him that the snow has a very low moisture content...heavy wet stuff would have been a disaster.

You are dead serious, right?

Even though every bit of that snow will eventually melt and end up in the rivers, streams, ditches and canals in and around Boston which flow into that same ocean!

That is just how bat$h*t crazy they are. The EPA also closed down a large mulching operation near here which was clearing dead trees in and around the highways and converting it into useful mulch for the highway department to protect those same highways from erosion. The reasoning was because water flowing through the mulching operation was picking up and unacceptably high level of tanin from the woods and the leaves.

Now, we've got to wonder what they are going to do about all the trees in Pennsylvania which do the same thing quite naturally.

I assume they must be comparing to the fraudulently lower adjusted historical temperature records. The climate frauds have regularly and frequently adjusted downward the historical temperature records in efforts to claim it is warmer now. All fraud all the time.

A tale of two countries. The west has been very warm >10 F above normal while NE is > 8 below normal. Check out this site http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/tanal/temp_analyses.php
This shows the futility of talking about climate change based on monthly conditions. It is weather. The jet stream and entrenched fronts etc control the temp. When Feb is done it may show above average temps for the US, but tell that to the folks fighting collapsing roofs and frozen pipes!

“This winter has been rather warm. Really.”

Is that before or after they “adjusted” the numbers?

Yes it has, except for the last few days. Much warmer than last winter. Folks seem to forget from year to year that Feb is usually coldest and we can get our biggest snows in March.

AU72 is 100% right. I ran into that problem 20 years ago when I was plowing snow commercially. I was plowing for one business most of the winter, pushing the snow into the Chena River. Luckily, there was no one on the opposite bank to object, because I got a one time plowing job for a Mini Mall. Their one instruction was to put it anywhere I could find room, except the adjacent slough.

Their reason? They had been doing it for many years until the EPA issued them an order to remove the snow immediately. They could pile it right next to the slough, as long as no snow spilled over the bank.

The excuse for this was that the snow MIGHT contain some litter that would contaminate the slough. Evidently it was okay for all the oil, anti-freeze, trans fluid, etc to run into the water, but the small amount of solids would contaminate the water forever. IDIOTS!!

PS; It was a big snow year and I had 30,000 to 40,000 cu yards of snow on the river. I was sure glad to see spring come that year LOL..

We’re up to 3 degrees now. Its supposed to get up near freezing tomorrow then we get another shot of cold possibly even colder than this record breaking cold.

Check your facts, go to any weather site, weatherunderground.com is one, and look at the average temperature on a daily basis. In VA we are consistently below average day in and day out. I've been doing this for 3 years and the trend is either average or below average day by day. Today's high will be 30 deg. F below normal which is around 50 deg. F. to balance that average we would have to have a day in Feb in the 80's! Right.

Collect your own data, it doesn't jive with the warmist's lie.
