"He's probably the most famous liar of all time,” Shanks told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Not any more, Nelson. The *Bubbamobile was last seen being run over by the Hussein Express.

Interesting portrayal and very Clintonesque.

It's reminiscent of someone standing at a urinal, which is what Slick Willie's presidency was to American morality and the end of virtue.

Those Calvin window decals were more humorous and blatantly direct, but that portrait conveys a similar message.

“The Clintons hate the portrait,” Shanks said.

Perhaps there is some schadenfreude in that statement.

The article also says there is an unsubstantiated report that the Clintons tried to have the portrait removed from the National Gallery.

Excerpts....

When Clinton was not in the room, Shanks says he set up a mannequin sporting a blue dress he likened to Lewinsky.

Its casted shadow is depicted on the Oval Office’s fireplace mantel that Clinton leans on as a metaphor of the effect the affair had on both his administration and the former president, Shanks explained.

“He’s probably the most famous liar of all time,” Shanks told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Maybe paintings mellow and soften with time but it seems to me that the painting of, say, Washington shows more talent/technique than say, Clinton’s. I can’t recall one in my lifetime that impressed me positively.
