On Monday, The New York Times reported that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton never not once used her official State Department email address for her official communications. Instead, she utilized a private email account, effectively protecting her emails from public scrutiny. The Washington Post then broke the news that Hillary had registered her email address the same day her confirmation hearings for secretary of state began. In other words, Hillary knew she would be secretary of state conducting official business, and coincidentally opened a private email account at the same time to guard her from Freedom of Information Act requests.
Sure, Hillary Clinton has a nasty history with crucial documents going missing she is the only first lady in American history fingerprinted by the FBI, and the FBI found missing documents with her fingerprints on them in the White House personal quarters. But the media SuperFriends quickly activated to protect Hillary. Glenn Thrush of Politico tweeted that Hillary must have relied on incompetent staffers and lawyers. Ron Fournier of National Journal tut-tutted that this made her no better than Republicans. Of course, the media also ignored Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman handing millions to the Clinton charity just before Hillarys big run.
Clinton is hardly the first Obama administration official to utilize a private email account to shield herself. Lisa Jackson of the Environmental Protection Agency used a private email address under the name Richard Windsor to conduct official business. According to Vice News Jason Leopold, the Department of Defense told him that they would not release any emails from former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, since SecDef does not maintain an official email account. Other Obama administration officials using unofficial email accounts include former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Donald Berwick, the former head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Welcome to the most transparent administration in American history, where the Federal Communications Commission can regulate the Internet and keep those regulations secret before a vote, where top government officials can deliberately hide their emails from the public, but where your health records, income and emails are all government business.
The public and private spheres have now been completely reversed.
The federal government can punish its own employees for enforcing federal immigration law; if you oppose this, you are a racist, but if you hire an illegal immigrant, you will be fined or imprisoned. The feds can monitor your electronic metadata, but they can hide their own correspondence from records requests. After all, they are our betters, and we must kneel before Zod.
What possible violations of the Constitutional system will Americans actually fight? The list of possibilities grows short. Reports emerged this week suggesting that President Obama will consider banning bullets by executive order, effectively castrating the Second Amendment by fiat. Shrug. The Obama White House announced this week that Obama was very interested in unilaterally raising taxes. Shrug.
Democracies die not with a whimper or a bang but with a shrug. When we dont care enough about the system to stop its breakdown when were happy with our dictators so long as we agree with them the constitutional order collapses. But so what? By electing Hillary Clinton the presidency, well strike a blow against non-existent generalized sexism in American society. And thats far more important than having an answerable, accountable government.
There was a man on Greta last night talking about how we can get our Republic back. Discussing how our Founders realized every republic ends like this and how they built into our Constitution a means to salvage our country.
I listened to him speak, but in the back of my mind I pondered...our founders never anticipated the strength of our government vs. the strength of the States. Technology-wise, military vs. militia, or how dependent the States would become on the Federal government.
And I also consider all these outrages from 0bamacare to Net Neutrality to 0bama now considering executive action tax increases...we yell and stamp our feet, but even with elections seem powerless to do anything to stop the abuses.
The oligarchy is above the law, the lawmaker is above the law...and it is frightening how pervasive it all is.

How is it that this did not come out in the Beghazi investigation. ?I would have assumed emails would have been looked at first. I have to believe then the whole Benghazi investigation was a scam! This country is screwed unless we remove the tyrants that we now have in office!
bttt
Here’s the difference it makes:
The NYT and WaPo are pushing these stories rather than defending against the accusations. That’s more than a dog whistle, more than a couple instances of accidental journalism. That’s a siren that Hillary is getting the hook.
Watch and see.
I like the way you didn't rub it in.

Makes sense, since we know Valerie Jarrett was grooming Elizabeth Warren for her second eight years in office.

And there is NOTHING we can do about it.
We saw what the media did to Palin. We saw how they did not scrutinize Obama as they did Sarah--or even dwell more than a few seconds over Obama's many inconsistencies and missing records.
And now, they are once again doing the same with regard to Scott Walker (Governor, do you believe in ______?) and With Hillary, (It's just an oversight, followed later by "That's old news.").
As I said there is NOTHING we can do about it.
The media are the masters of political America.
Yep. And here’s a followup column in WaPo today: “Hillary Clintons private e-mail address at State reinforces everything people dont like about her” by Chris Cillizza.
The drumbeat has begun. Having the GOP as enemy is a badge of honor. Getting the pile-on from the two top liberal papers is the Scarlet Letter.
for the purpose of shaking down demanding foreignforeigners for the Clinton foundation, a la Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. IMO
sorry for the mixup on previous post - a hiccup
but you get the point
The FBI should immediately confiscate the server - Congress should demand it for NATIONAL SECURITY reasons.
The Times is simply finishing off Hillary completely. The question....with tons of PAC money....if she won’t run, who does she quietly support?
That is exactly my perspective and thinking...I’ve seen play out too many times....
The only way this is going to stop is if a President is elected into office and orders a reversal with the backing of the military and certain federal LE agencies...arrests, prosecution, imprisonment, and even banishment...then and only then can the Republic be restored. The common citizen will not take up arms for fear of being labeled by a political News corp - and LE officers not wanting to jeopardize their LE careers over a minority...the Dark Side planned well - waited - and launched an infiltration attack that will stand the test of all times...but can the same be done to them that was done to us...??? I really don’t think so...being an elected leader is apparently a career - not a duty any more...
And yet one more dog on the pile, Mother Jones via David Corn:

The toast. She is about to pop up.
Oh, and Politico is now in on the act with: “What if Hillary bows out?”
Sense a pattern?
So, the scenario?
Payback from Obama to Bill Clinton, to ensure Hillary doesn’t run in 2016? Warren is Obama’s pick?
Will Hillary take the PAC money and just sit out of 2016 and pay king-maker in 2020 instead? Will Bill Clinton show up in Iowa to help someone opposite of Warren corner the state? Will Hillary gather up all the screw-ups of the White House and lay them out in some expose for a London newspaper...selling the NY Times and Wa-Po short?
