President Obama broke his silence on Hillary Clinton's private emails ordeal Saturday.
Obama, Clinton's direct supervisor during her four years as Secretary of State, claims he only learned of Clinton's use of a private email address for official State Department business after the New York Times reported it this past week.
"The same time everybody else learned it through news reports," Obama told CBS's Bill Plante in an interview Saturday, when asked how he learned about the apparent abuse of office.
Clinton's declining to use a government email address in favor of a nondescript email address and a "home-brewed" server while conducting government correspondence went against norms of government security and appears to have violated federal law regarding record keeping.
"The policy of my administration is to encourage transparency, which is why my emails, the BlackBerry I carry around, all those records are available and archived," Obama said. "I'm glad that Hillary's instructed that those emails about official business need to be disclosed."
However, Obama declined to criticize his former secretary of state's record.
"Let me just say that Hillary Clinton is and has been an outstanding public servant. She was a great secretary of state for me," Obama said, adding, "I think that the fact that she is putting them forward will allow us to make sure that people have the information they need."
Clinton, the likely Democratic presidential candidate, has not commented on the ordeal in person. She did however take to Twitter late Wednesday night to say she wants her emails released.
"I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible," the former first lady and U.S. senator from New York tweeted.
The State Department said it would take time before her emails can be released.
He really needs to fire his staff and Intel types, all of them. Apparently they are about as up on current events and trends and playing ahead of the curve as the blind homeless guy living under the interstate overpass talking to his shopping cart.
Its been documented earlier that Obama does NOT read his daily intel briefings and does not want to be bothered with details. He relies on Jarrett or Moochelle for everything.
That would no doubt be a tragically funny list.

When will some hacker or someone in one of the world’s intelligence communities expose this fraud? When? Someone has the goods. If the truth will out, then let it come out!

I started paying attention to politics in 1995 when the GOP was battling Clinton on the budget. I noticed back then that the Rats had an advantage. They knew the American people were mostly idiots. Americans are even more idiotic and 0 knows it.

That is a valid point. Obama never got rid of his personal phone and who is to say exactly what text messages were sent and received by him during his time in office.
Conversely we have Hillary and just what text messages were sent and received by her during her time on SOS. No one has brought this up. Are text messages supposed to be part of records that need to be archived?
This is something the MSM has not picked up on and they should.
