Vive La Révolution!!!! (Rare conservative win / GOP establishment loss!)

Today, the GOP Establishment control of the GOP machinery was overturned.

Here is my 'back from the trenches' description of what happened today, in DeKalb County, Georgia. In summary, Populist GOP Conservatives have seized control of the local GOP machinery.

Here's how it worked: A local Freeper who shall remain nameless invited me and quite a few other like-minded people to the Delegate Selection process meeting sometime last month. We all signed up as delegates. There was no competition, by signing up, we became delegates to a person. Other conservative-minded activists must have done the same thing. I do not know that definitively, but the results speak for themselves:

Today was the election of all of the local GOP party county representatives, namely: The GOP County Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, and 3rd Vice Chair; Treasurer, and Secretary.

It was a total sweep. The true-conservative candidates all won. The establishment candidates all lost. To my eye, the establishment folks all looked a little stunned. Establishment hand-picked and Establishment-endorsed candidates who spent money, were summarily defeated. The populist conservative guys and gals -- who spent next to nothing -- handily creamed them.

We even sent a nice hearty 'middle finger' to Johnny Isakson, the GOP establishment Senator from GA: Johnny has a long tradition of speaking at these engagements. Today, when the vote came up to make room for him, our populist district chair made a motion that instead of us stopping when he got here, he speak at the end .. when the business we were THERE for, was conducted. (As an aside, we ran out of time anyways, and would have been completely messed up if he had given his usual stemwinder). The motion carried by a good margin. Johnny was told this, and he refused to come after all. The rationale was "We don't want to interrupt your business," but I am personally confident that he had a short, two word, eight-letter phrase that was what ACTUALLY came out of his mouth, and the second word would have been 'them'. LOL

I'm glad it happened that way. First of all, we *did* run out of time. Secondly, Johnny Isakson is on notice: The DeKalb County GOP has been captured by conservatives. This is one of the most liberal counties in Alanta, so this is quite a win.

Vive La Révolution!!!! Liberté, égalité, fraternité!

A farmer was proud of his watermelon crop. People started stealing his watermelons. He put up a sign saying “one of these watermelons is poisoned”. The stealing stopped. He went and looked at his sign to revel in his cleverness. Then he noticed the “one” was crossed out and replaced with the word “two”.

Congratulations!!
A little organization and a good cause can go a long way.
But the other side is reading these posts, talking with each other and preparing for the next vote.

Most of NJ is actually red... it's the #gimmedemnuggets crowd residing in the slumholes along the N.E. Corridor, Camden and A.C. that really screw it all up.

Just remember, if this victory is repeated a number of times, the GOP-e will start busing allies in to the delegate selection meetings. Be prepared.

PING!

Something for you to ponder or hit. ..

He'll have to be careful when he's hitting stuff. The GOP-e might hire a private eye to tail him.
