If there had been mandatory voting he would have lost both his elections. The mandatory aspect would have counteracted us having sh!tty candidates and low Republican turnout.
That certainly comports with the "Congress shall pass no law" language of the First Amendment. After all, it doesn't preclude "the President shall enact no regulation..."

The Idiot In Chief has orchestrated a huge influx of illegal aliens who have an innate fear of anything to do with government. Said Idiot expected that when they were given free access to health services and other free monies that they would be chomping at the bit to get to a voting booth to vote DemonRat.
Not so. Thus comes Phase II. Not aimed at your normal American citizen but at the millions of illegals he has let in through the back door.
Time for a misinformation campaign amongst those communities. Spread leaflets saying that the Master Plan is to round up illegal aliens should they show up at a polling location. That ought to scare the frijoles out of them.
My initial thought, not yet reversed, is that OF COURSE he wants mandatory voting, because that will require that everybody engage in some act of registering their presence on their ballot or at the polling station, which will lead to the government knowing how they voted, which will allow the government or its minions to exact retribution from those who voted “the wrong way”.
This guy may be inept, but he spouts his handlers’ lines well.
I have long thought that Obama’s vision for the US looks a lot like communist East Germany.
If you don’t vote, the Government will vote for you.
Pretty much what he said as justification is that more people who will vote for socialism will vote only if they are required to vote.

So, if you skip voting, and somebody in government doesn’t like you, you can be picked up for that and prosecuted? The more rules there are to follow, the more petty violations someone can be harrassed with.
I’d like to see less people vote, not more. I’m tired of stupid monkeys having power over the government. If you don’t know good public policy from your own ***hole, please stay home.
I for one am tired of hearing “is he dumb?” or “doesn’t he understand?” or any of the others that paint the National Socialist sonofabitch as being possibly patriotic but misguided.
He is none of those. He and his party knows what they are doing, what the consequences might be, how it will destroy the country. That is their plan, to overtly grab and consolidate power to themselves.
