A routine car stop in Brooklyn led police to apprehend a man in possession of a high-powered machine gun a weapon that the NYPD's new gunshot-detection system may have recorded being used recently, cop sources said.
Anti-Crime Unit cops from the 81st Precinct in Bedford-Stuyvesant pulled over a 2013 Chevy Impala on Ralph Ave. near Bainbridge St. on Wednesday evening because it had excessively tinted windows.

There are laws against them, actually
Uh, the tinting, the “high-powered” 9mm machine gun, the high capacity “clips”, the knife, the “excessive” amount of ammo, the marijuana. Hope they weren’t “haters” as well. Just adds seriousness to the crime. Me? I’m just a disliker.
Not guilty by reason of the 2nd Amendment................for the guns...for the windows, he’s on his own.................
All my machine guns are low-powered, so i’m OK.
Looks like a semi-auto pistol converted to look “menacing”... I don’t consider anything 9mm to be “high powered”.
“high-powered”
uh, 9mm ...
odd that the article has in lieu of any photos of the perp.......three photos of the officers involved in the bust?
now thats journalism
9mm is not a machine gun. A submachinegun at best.
9-mm = High Power
????
I bought a car that had “excessive tint” on the windows. After no problems for 2 years, I was pulled over twice in one week by two different PDs. The second cop handed me an inspection order, and it ended up that the tint on the windows was 3% (how could they even GUESS that insignificant an “infraction?”) too dark, so I had to pull it off. And pay a fine, and pay for the inspection...
It’s obvious that neither cop had never driven on the prairies or through the desert in the summer. You NEED that dark tint in the 100+* sun!
Privacy laws may prohibit photos of the arrestee.
thats possible
Machine Gun means full auto, not limited by caliber.
You can buy a 22 caliber machine gun.
Mine too. We should start a club. The LPMGC. It would confuse everyone. :)
Wow, just think, there may be 200 rounds in total in the photo. That’s not even an hours worth of ammo at the range! As for the weapon, it looks like some German piece from WWII.
Looks like an antique.
The dark tint laws are there for driver safety. As a professional driver I try to make eye contact with other drivers who are preparing to pull onto the road. If you make eye contact, you know your chances of the driver pulling in front of you are minimal. The restrictions here are for only the driver and passenger/windshield areas.
Maybe they really meant SUPER ULTRA HIGH POWERED. LOL!
