Hillary on the brink of collapse
NY POST ^ | April 25, 2015 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 04/26/2015 7:38:13 AM PDT by COUNTrecount

passage from Ernest  Hemingway fits the moment. In “The Sun Also  Rises,” one character asks,  “How did you go bankrupt?” and another responds: “Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

The exchange captures Hillary Clinton’s red alert. She’s been going politically bankrupt for a long time, and now faces the prospect of sudden collapse.

If she’s got a winning defense, she better be quick about it. The ghosts of scandals past are gaining on her and time is not on her side.

The compelling claims that she and Bill Clinton sold favors while she was secretary of state for tens of millions of dollars for themselves and their foundation don’t need to meet the legal standard for bribery. She’s on political trial in a country where Clinton Fatigue alone could be a fatal verdict.

After 25 years of corner-cutting and dishonest behavior, accumulation is her enemy. Each day threatens to deliver the straw that breaks the camel’s back. It may already have happened and we’re just waiting for public opinion to catch up to the facts.

Meanwhile, her Houdini skills are being tested big time.

Hillary’s one big advantage is obvious — she’s the only serious contender for the Democratic nomination, and she beats most GOP opponents in head-to-head matchups. But everything else weighs against her, including momentum.

She could garner all of the sympathy votes if she were a widow.

Just think of it, all the Slick Willy baggage disappears and she can say that she was too busy being the SOS to know what was happening at the Clinton Family Slush Fund.

Bill is expendable, he said so himself a while ago.

We know 0bama’s bought.
We also know she is.

What shining lights of leadership these people are or portend.

One who loves to kill by drones. One who does it for s#its and giggles. Both of them happy to leave men lie on the ground dead. Or leave Americans stranded, without money or food, to fend for themselves in getting out of a country.

The death of Bill....Brilliant! That would change the narrative and make her appear sympathetic at the same time. Get me Blumenthal!

(Could this be that straw?)

None of the Clinton scandals has ever made a difference. None whatsoever. Why does anyone think it matters now? What difference, at this point, does it make?

No matter how many more scandals are exposed, Hillary has 47% of the vote in the bag. All she needs is a hair over 3% more. With her propaganda machine, this is easily attainable.

The fact that she still doing well in the polls illustrates how far gone this country is.

And, don't forget all the millions of Third Worlders who will be ready by Nov 2016 to pull the lever for her.

“I would much rather that Hillary suddenly collapse in Aug 2016”

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Warren and O’Malley are the ticket (either way, too soon to tell). Hillary will be out of the race in 3 months or less.

Stop wasting energy and prepare for the real opponents. The sooner the better.

” All this stuff is coming from the MSM, and all of it is stuff that could have been known years ago and was being sat on/held in reserve. Someone powerful somewhere is executing a plan.
Given where this is coming from, I don’t think the unknown organizer of this anti-Hilary campaign is friendly to us, and it is unlikely we will benefit if it succeeds.”

Absolutely. The MSM wouldn’t be doing this on their own; they are too much in the left-Hillary camp. So this is a planned campaign, on behalf of someone else.

But who?

Whoever emerges to pick up the democratic mantle and “save” the party from defeat.

And it is concerning to think who that might be.

She said that she will raise 2 BILLION dollars for her campaign, that’s a lot to walk away from, plus she would owe out a lot of “favors” for the donations.

She is in a very difficult position.

The Clinton Foundation is Hillary’s lifeline to the Presidency. All that cash comes from foreigners who expect bigtime payoffs that are possible only if she wins & can repay favors & issue largesse from the Oval Office.

Hillary can’t drop out now. If she does it’s sayonara to all those millions & all those rich bundlers. And all that globetrotting. The Flying Buttress will be no more.

That’s why the other grandma has already been warned not to even think about challenging Hillary, complete with horse head in bed wakeup.

"So she has a lifetime of “good works” and shaking hands with foreigners and flying around aimlessly if she wants"

Kind of like her tour as Sec of State.

As COUNT said, The Beast has taken millions in foreign money under the pretense and expectation of payback.

A lot of its donors (investors) are not nice people and would have no qualms settling a deadbeat account the old school way.

Hillary eventually gets indicted for a series of felonies. The pressure on Bone Head to impeach Obama (AND I’M NOT SAYING IT WILL HAPPEN) becomes so great that Bonehead and Obama strike a deal - after all they are both in the Uniparty and only want to rule not serve. In the deal Lynch indicts Hillary and they settle on a single count felony having to do with her exiting State. No Benghazi stuff, no foreign money stuff, no using government E mails to woo her lesbian lovers, Bill walks for stealing from Haiti and all the rest all goes away. Hillary agrees to withdrawn “to spend more time with her family” and the Democrats bring in O’Malley. IF Tokyo Rove wins and Jeb is the GOP nominee, O’Malley wins in a landslide on a record low turnout because conservatives will stay home.
If almost anyone else but Jeb gets the nomination the script is flipped and the Republican wins in a normal turnout.

It’s just not fair.....

Obama is giving our military secrets away to the enemy so fast there won’t be any left for Hillary to sell if she ever makes it back into the White House.

Never underestimate the Clinton’s capacity for brazening through any scandal. The only way she is out is if she is indicted. What are the chances of that with this “Justice” Dept.

No, she has two big advantages - the second is that the mainstream media refuses to hound her day after day with stories about Bengazi, Servergate, etc.

It started in '92 when they refused to pursue cattlegate.

What's often overlooked in these discussions is this: If Hillary Clinton was really a credible candidate for the White House, she would have been nominated in 2008. She wasn't nominated in 2008, which meant her presidential aspirations were derailed by Democrats.

I don't see anything that has changed in advance of 2016. If anything, it's worse for her among the Democrat core. They have plenty of good reasons never to trust a wealthy white woman who: (1) spent six years on Wal-Mart's board of directors, and (2) is indistinguishable from a candidate who would run as an inside-the-Beltway Republican.
