The exchange captures Hillary Clinton’s red alert. She’s been going politically bankrupt for a long time, and now faces the prospect of sudden collapse.
If she’s got a winning defense, she better be quick about it. The ghosts of scandals past are gaining on her and time is not on her side.
The compelling claims that she and Bill Clinton sold favors while she was secretary of state for tens of millions of dollars for themselves and their foundation don’t need to meet the legal standard for bribery. She’s on political trial in a country where Clinton Fatigue alone could be a fatal verdict.
After 25 years of corner-cutting and dishonest behavior, accumulation is her enemy. Each day threatens to deliver the straw that breaks the camel’s back. It may already have happened and we’re just waiting for public opinion to catch up to the facts.
Meanwhile, her Houdini skills are being tested big time.
Hillary’s one big advantage is obvious — she’s the only serious contender for the Democratic nomination, and she beats most GOP opponents in head-to-head matchups. But everything else weighs against her, including momentum.

I agree with part of what you say. But, IMHO the Dems of last few years are like muzzies. They’ve learned to plan way ahead. They are underhanded, conniving and will do anything for power, and they know exactly where this is going.
He’s a conservative Republican.

Personally, I’d like her to completely break down and retreat into that bottle. There is no fate imaginable to me she does not deserve.

I will still be very glad when the hippies of the boomer generation disappear from the halls of washington, state houses, city councils and such. What follows them may be equal but it can’t really be much worse unless it even sooner just ushers in the final collapse of all that was good that they began.
It could be even worse for them since Chelsea is now enmeshed in the Clinton Family Slush Fund.

I'd love to think this were true, but for someone who has literally gotten away with murder and countless fraudlent actions over forty years, this is just another bump in the road.
The MSM have switched sides on them though.
In the past they were protected, sometimes scandalously.
They would either sit on stories (who knows how much is on file and how long its sat there), or use their coverage mainly to attack accusers.
But now all this new stuff is coming through the NYT and its ilk.

Are you serious? The *itch for all we know might be capable of thinking of his dying as an opportunity to get the sympathy vote.
(I really, really despise the woman. It goes back to her acceptance of the Lewinsky scandal...any normal parent would've moved the daughter out of the WH and away from the public eye. EVERYTHING she's done and stood for since then has only reinforced that opinion)
Let’s do everything to get her nominated. She’ll have a hard time hiding her true personality during the campaign.

I was shocked when the NY Slimes dared to publish anything that might even hint that the 'Beast might not be suitable. The media can be very fickle and shifts with the prevailing winds, though. If nominated, they will fall in line.
This far out it could be just a ploy to get it out, so that in the home stretch when the elction is on the line, Hillary can just say "that's old news". At any rate, I look for the klinton machine to crank up ans "silence" critics.
