Nine Bikers Shot Dead in Waco, TX, USA Biker Gang Shootout [VERTICAL VIDEO WARNING]
Live Leak ^

A fight that escalated to gunfire between rival biker gangs in a Waco, Texas, restaurant parking lot today left nine people dead, police said.

Eighteen people were taken from the scene to hospitals, mostly for gunshot and stab wounds, Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said at a news conference. Everyone involved was a gang member, police said.

The violence began as a fight between "criminal biker gangs" at the Twin Peaks Restaurant in the Central Texas Market Place early this afternoon, Swanton said. The fight then spilled into the parking lot where gang members fired at each other, Swanton said.

"As that fight progressed, it progressed very rapidly from hands and feet as weapons to chains," he said. "My understanding a club was involved and knives were involved."

Officers were at the scene when the shooting started, police said, and some officers fired at the bikers. No officers were injured, police said.

Witnesses reported hearing as many as 100 rounds fired from 30 guns.

Police closed the entire Central Texas Market Place shopping area, saying that there was a danger of more violence.

"It is still not totally secure because of the intel that we're getting of individuals wanting to do some payback," he said.

Over the past few months, he says they were aware of rival biker gangs causing issues at the Twin Peaks restaurant.

"We have attempted to work with the local management of Twin Peaks to get that cut back to no avail," he said. "They have not been of much assistance to us."

I counted 7 may be 8 bodies, hard to tell, laying still on the parking lot. This brief video appears to be from the restaurant next door?

You have to maximize the size of the video to clearly see it.

You can see 3 bodies at the very beginning. Then as the video moves you see 4 or 5 more dead bodies. You have to maximize the video in order to see it. I had to replay it to a few times to count.

The cops appear to have M4s. Towards the end of the video you can clearly see one cop kneeling with it. Here is a picture of a M4 in case you are wondering.

I don’t see any “bodies.” If you look you can see they have their hands out on the ground before them like they have been ordered to lie prone. If you watch it enlarged you can see a couple of them moving. Maybe they later died, but it doesn’t look like bodies.

Hope these guys were the ones with the loudest mufflers. Most irritating sound...right after loud RAP music.

Are those bodies or just bikers who have surrendered? Bodies don’t normally all lay on their stomach with their arms fully extended...

The cops could have checked and cleared them — kicked their hands away from their torsos etc, although I thought SOP is to cuff everyone, even those who won’t be coming down for breakfast.

They could just be looking for their contacts? Hard to tell.

Why no mention of guns?

One difference may be that the rioters in Ferguson and elsewhere were allowed to riot whereas these bikers were shot dead. At this point, we don’t know how many of the 9 dead were killed by the police as opposed to other bikers, but I have seen references to the number being at least 4 (would not surprise me if it is more).

That was Story Version #2.

This is Story Version #9, I think.

Bikers with loud mufflers deserve death?

I’m assuming that most of the dead were killed by police. The police were there when the fight started, and they are the ones who like to empty their clips once shooting starts.

Yeah it is SOP to cuff everyone. Each officer usually carries two sets of cuffs, at most. There were over 170 arrested. Not enough cuffs.

Oh yeah you know it was open season on them bikers. Notice not a single police office was even scratched, but we got a lot shot people and dead bodies.

The bikers on the ground, on their stomachs, arms outstretched don’t appear dead?
