The late Andrew Russo is famous for his documentary Freedom to Fascism, which you can view here. In the documentary, he exposes the Internal Revenues tactics to force people to pay income tax, even getting an interview with the former head of the IRS, who was unable to cite the law that requires US citizens to fill out a tax return. Now, a citizen video and book are looking to set the record straight and inform the public for the sake of making real change in the tax system. Keep in mind as you read the article that this is not just about the IRS and tax returns. It's also about the First Amendment.
Ford Fisher writes at Solutions Institute:
On July 25, 2014, Doreen Hendrickson was convicted of contempt of court. She was recently sentenced to 18 months, and surrendered herself to prison on May 15, 2015. The details of the case were bizarre, to say the least.
Doreen's husband, Pete Hendrickson, is the author of Cracking the Code: The Fascinating Truth about Taxation in America, a book that encourages an allegedly legal but unconventional way of filing tax returns, which has supposedly helped tens of thousands of readers win their money back from the IRS. While the book and documentary goes into much heavier detail, the compact of his premise is that the income tax was only meant to be applied to government employees, and private citizens can avoid income taxation by referencing this distinction.
Doreen and Pete have been using this method to avoid paying income tax since the release of Pete's book, and it's put them at odds with the IRS. In the recent case, Doreen was given a new set of returns filled out by the federal government and ordered to sign them as being her own testimony. Because they were not her own words, she refused, and has now been sentenced to prison.
Here's the problem in all of this, Mrs. Hendrickson was not charged with tax evasion nor was she charged with falsifying her tax returns. She was charged with contempt of court because she would not sign a document that she did not believe to be true.
"I am accused by the government of having committed a crime for refusing to obey an order to swear to facts I do not believe are true," said Hendrickson. "I agreed to obey the order if I could also simply add to my signature that I had been ordered by a judge to swear to the facts. That didn't suit the government however. Not only must I obey an order to swear to something I do not believe, but I am not allowed to indicate that I've been ordered to swear under threat of imprisonment."
Of course, people in the united States have been paying taxes and filling out income tax returns for decades now. Surely, there must be a law someone can point to that requires American citizens to provide such returns. So far no law is in place.
Peter Hendrickson wrote, "The limited nature of the income tax is not a matter of my opinion. In addition to the clear words of the law, dozens of United States Supreme Court rulings agree with my research and analysis, while no Supreme Court rulings support any alternative view, including the broad misunderstanding of the law the IRS likes to encourage."
Hendrickson also said that his wife was not allowed to reference Supreme Court cases to demonstrate her innocence before a jury of her peers. The judge even taunted her during her opening statement.
In writing about Hendrickson's case in a book titled Motor City Witchcraft Trials, court-watcher Brian Wright wrote, "The current lot of judges at all levels has deteriorated into yes men to whatever mobster, especially federal with DHS and the national security state apparatus, tells them to dance."
Now, a new documentary by Ford Fisher and Shane Trejo seeks to expose the corruption of the IRS, the limited nature of "income" tax and the attacks of the First Amendment. The video highlights the now infamous IRS v. Hendrickson case. View it below and share it with your friends on social media.

Finally, keep in mind that this is the same corrupt cartel that continues to target the political opponents of the current criminal administration.
All the more reason to abolish the Income Tax, go to a flat rate user tax and abolish the IRS. Now all we have to do is elect some members to Congress who have backbones.
Does she even have a lawyer?
Well, when you start off with a premise as odd as that one, you've already got two strikes against you.
Allegedly...supposedly...
That doesn't generate a whole lot of confidence that their method actually works.
Well... this seems the manner of courts, to declare things based on what they believe the law to be, not necessarily what parties before it believe the law to be. An implied declaration that I am a Federal employee is a new one on me, and as for taxpayer comments, they are always free to include those on a separate sheet in the bundle, inserted in an order corresponding to the form to which they pertain.
STILL, if she paid in a timely fashion all the taxes that a proper form would have shown, why all this folderol. She owes nothing, there is nothing to calculate a penalty or an interest on.
And Lois Lerner and Hillary Clinton remain free women.
I applaud this woman as well. She should be held up in the same way as Rosa Parks always is. She is a hero (heroine?) and if this story ever gained currency it could result in the overhauling of the tax code (flat tax) and significantly downsizing of the IRS.
But, something as relevant as this doesn’t get much milage with the LIV. Plus, it doesn’t fit into the leftist agenda to fundamentally transform America.
Meanwhile Clinton to fundraise at house of tax evading Clinton Foundation donor:
Plus tax cheats Timothy Geithner and Al Sharpton are free men.
If it was conscience and not a gimmick she was after, she could put her comments about coerced signing in a separate sheet in the bundle. And the IRS would yawn and process the payment.
This is the problem in most of these cases. People become convinced by book-hucksters that everything is so simple they can represent themselves. After more than a hundred years of the Federal Income Tax, none of this is simple, new, or untried. There are many decades of case-law precedents on the IRS and taxation. It is a minefield that needs to be tiptoed through with great skill. If anyone thinks they can stroll into a criminal court and cite Constitutional Law without some serious legal representation then they should be sure to wear slip-on loafers on trial day.
Having raised FedGov from a pup, the people are now surprised it has grown into an ill trained monster that growls at its own master.
It started out cute enough as a whelp. It always begged for more, and the Master, being indulgent and of good will himself, obliged. It grew larger and larger over time. Soon it began to growl ominously if meals were not presented on time. The Master grew apprehensive as FedGov was no longer a cute pup but had grown into a beast outweighing the Master and with greater strength.
On a leash, it was questionable as to whether FedGov or the Master was in control. FedGov went where it wanted, when it wanted, with Master in tow. For awhile, Master convinced himself that this was the direction he would have chosen anyway. This fiction was difficult to preserve whenFedGov sometimes decided to veer into a bramble while attempting to chase a rabbit.
The Master grew concerned by FedGov’s behavior, but attempts at controlling it grew increasingly dangerous. Attempting to take away the food bowl resulted in FedGov giving the Master a nasty bite. The Master realized he was no longer the master.
It worked pretty well for her, didn’t it? Tax free room and board for 18 months. It’s my recollection that at the end of the first term, they can repeat the cycle. So she can theoretically spend the rest of her life living off the taxpayers. (Been a while since I’ve read up on federal criminal contempt).
Writeup here is a little more clear as to what happened:
Great, now I have to pay money for this woman to sit in prison and get free food and housing on my tax dollar.
I laud the victim’s refusal to cooperate with the judge’s (an idiot)...
...
Really? You post a one-sided account of how to get thrown in jail and you think the judge is an idiot.
Hell, we shouldn’t pay until Lois Lerner coughs up those emails.
There's a fantasy for the ages.
Bingo. The IRS is a collection agency. period. The IRS is on a leash and the other end of that long leash lays at the feet of Congress. The Uniparty will never give that up. The IRS is their cash register.
