WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tensions are building inside and outside the white marble facade of the U.S. Supreme Court building as the nine justices prepare to issue major rulings on gay marriage and President Barack Obama's healthcare law by the end of the month.

Roberts will not be independent until the kids are 18.That won't be for another 4 years. By then it'll be too late for the country and that's what hussein is hoping for.

Can be totally wrong on this, but my reading is that by them stretching this out til the end, they are getting ready to knock down both “gay marriage” and Obamacare, then get out of Dodge.

Wow, I’m reading this thread and you’re doing everything BUT saying what system you endorse.

It sure could. And it could also “redefine” every other right we have. I still fail to see how any “constitutional convention” can be limited in any way since there is no sure way to guarantee “who those men will be” (I think those are Madison’s words about the men at the Constitutional Convention, but I could be wrong).

The big divisive decisions are almost always released in the last week. on’t read too much inti it.

This would be good. However, as an educator at a college, I’ll tell you it doesn’t matter what schools are available-—only what schools are ACCREDITED. Until we can wrest control over the accreditation process from DC and the lib institutions, it won’t make any difference if you are free to go to a great school.

You are absolutely correct. A constitutional convention would be an incredible gamble with the country’s future. Yet the frustration with the activist judiciary setting political and social policy in a republic is real.
To: justiceseeker93; SeaHawkFan
SeaHawkFan says that divisive cases are always released at the end. Don’t think that applied to Dred Scott, but that was a long time ago. That was released in March 1857. Roe v. Wade was January-—but I’m not sure the court knew how divisive that would be.

I am less concerned with the activist judiciary than with the inactive Congress and overactive executive that make it possible.
A REALISTIC Constitutional use of powers would fix all this in a hurry.

No one asked. They were all too preoccupied trying to prove me wrong.
But I'll take your comment as a question. The answer is that I'm an anarcho-capitalist.

We are waiting for the redistricting decision here in Arizona. It will have ramifications all over the Country if SCOTUS agrees with us.
