“Not enough senate power to make it stick.”

So? Plant the idea now! Just like liberals do. Do something to get attention then follow through when support arrives.

I wonder if a movement could start for states to pass laws, in which they don’t recognize marriage at all.

There is no federal marriage license. Anyone who has ever gotten married has gotten married subject to state laws, not federal laws.

So, suppose some states pass laws in which they delete any reference to marriage or married couples out of their family codes?

Just a thought. Then marriage would truly be an event which happens in the religious denomination of one’s choice, without government involvement. And churches could also announce that they don’t perform marriages endorsed by the state any longer, but only religious ceremonies according to the tenets of their faiths.

If a state doesn’t have marriage, legally speaking, then there is nothing to talk about with homosexual marriage, changing definitions, the coming of polygamy, etc. All of that will be, legally speaking, a non issue.

The libtards know better than to push for civilian disarmament. If they try it, well, let’s just say that it’s “Claire Wolfe Time.”

The article is good, but it missed the nullification at the lowest and most important levels...those of the family and individual. You are in no way obligated to respect the license issuance process, or to obtain a license. You do not need a license to be married in a church. And why would you want the license anyway? If things go south, guess what? You’re in caesars “family” courts.

Let caesar define his twisted sense of marriage however he pleases. You have no legal and certainly no moral obligation to go along.

How would socialized medicine, higher taxes, left-wing Supreme Court Justices, etc. be any different under a Mittens Romney presidency?

The key difference between Romney and Obola is that the former thinks he’s doing what’s best for the peasants while Obama is trying to punish America. The intent is irrelevant.

Thus, no reason to vote the lesser of two evils.

BTW, not a Christian so just want to point out that it is ideology rather than religion that has voters stay home when the “choice” is between two versions of socialism.

And that includes a Jeb v. Hillary 2016 “choice.” Thanks, but no thanks. Won’t play that game.

I think you are wrong, but; people had best vote against Hilliary if they cannot vote for the candidate.

I do believe that we have a uni-party in operation at the present.

Getting a third party off the ground is so difficult and time consuming in normal times. It was a crisis that caused the Republican party to so quickly rise to prominence. The Whigs (I think) were moribund and most of them switched over to the new party. Result: an instant presence in Congress for the Republicans.

Could some other party pull the same kind of coup? I tried the Constitution Party, and they were nice people, but they weren’t serious. The Libertarians seem to be serious, but they aren’t conservative.

The Constitution says whatever the Hell 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices say it says. Replace 1 or 2 Justices and the Constitution can say something else entirely.

If we can elect a conservative President who will replace a couple of the 80 year old far left-wing liberals on the Court then a different majority of 5 Justices can reverse every far left-wing Supreme Court decree from the past 50 years.

On the other hand, if Hillary is elected and replaces Scalia (an 80 year old conservative) and Kennedy (an 80 year old sometimes moderate sometimes liberal) then say goodbye to the Second Amendment, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, private property rights, and every other freedom that has been hanging by a 5 to 4 thread. Far left-wing liberals will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years.

The states could refuse to issue marriage licenses now that the feds have taken it over. Start another word for man-wife marriage.

I have been writing almost all in the RNC. Basically, I have stated that it is time to IMPEACH before more treason.
Now we have total idiots for SCOTUS who have no idea that the 14th was passed when any homosexual act was a felony in every state in the union punishable by prison. How can anyone conclude their intent was homo marriage?

True but from a legal perspective and pertaining to things like spousal benefits, insurance, taxes and such; what a mess that would be, even more of a mess than now.

WHY I HAVE AN ILLUMINATED CROSS AS A PROTEST

Why are those so called democrats which belong to a democrat in name only ever being called out on their core beliefs ? Nooo that wouldn’t be bi-partisan ! Ask any of those so called GOPES (Government Over the People Elite Statists) campaign advisors about depressing the “democrat” vote and you get a lecture.Democrat core beliefs showed up with booing the mention of God in 2012 which made it official. They’ve declared a war on religion particularly Christianity.Which I for one now have an illumiuated crucifix at night in my front yard facing the street (Highway) as a statement. And encourage others do as well

A DEMOCRAT apparently doesn’t believe there’s such a thing as the Ten Commandments or sin because everything that leaves their mouths is a lie. But I have yet to hear a Republican candidate even suggest even in jest mention why “democrat” lying is part of their core belief ? Never mind the use of their positions promoting clony capitalism campaign contributers financing alternate energy plans spending billions which went belly up at our expense while leaving our infastructure was falling apart......

Why ? Because it isn’t being bi-partisan or lets not forget the other trap politically correct.

That's exactly what the RINOs at the top of the Republican party want us to do. That's exactly how we got all the spineless Republicans we have now. They've pulled this nasty trick on us for as long as I can remember.
The RINOs in Washington use every resource they have to push their Republicrat candidate through the primaries, and then tell us if we don't vote for their Republicrat, the other Republicrat will win!
Good thing they give us a choice, right?

How about we just vote for the most Conservative candidate running this time and leave it at that? If we lose, at least we know we've done our best to save this country. If the people of America want to destroy it, it won't be our fault. It's not like we didn't try to warn them. Maybe next time they'll pay more attention to who they're voting for.
If people didn't learn their lesson after voting oboma, then there's not much we can do to save anything anyway. It's not like the RINOs in Washington are on our side either. Screw 'em all! It's conservative or bust.

or even repealing obamacare.

Okay, I'd like to throw something out here:

Would it be possible to pass a bill that would remove any reference to the word "mandate", in all of its forms (mandates, ed, ing)? I am thinking that if the monstrosity removes the mandates, then we can just ignore it. Not the best option (repeal would be best); but, until we get enough people who possess a pair and a spine, I'm thinking it would be the best we could do.

What say you, Freepers?
