I’ve repeatedly stated on FR that I wouldn’t vote for Trump because I would see him better in a high level cabinet position rather than POTUS. However, I realized now that if he were to make a campaign promise to rid this country of “political correctness” for good, I would change my stance and vote for him. That’s the kind of “change” this country needs.

I must say that the man most definitely is NOT a politician - most of them would soil their pants even thinking about such an answer.

I am very glad that Monica's ex-boyfriend's wife is FINALLY on the receiving end of some legitimate and hard-hitting criticism, as it is about 2 decades overdue. I'm not a huge Trump fan (quite the opposite), but he has lots of courage and calls 'em as he sees 'em - and we haven't had that in a politician in a LONG time. It is very refreshing...and whether he is the nominee or not, he has made it safe to talk about immigration. That's going to hurt Monica's ex-boyfriend's wife, or whomever is the Demonrat nominee, a LOT. KUDOS TO TRUMP!

My wife is from Mexico and has had the same knee-jerk reaction that many others have (and she is a Conservative who has been saying for the last 20 years that the illegals are the ones that are the underbelly of Mexico).

Have your wife read this please. MY wife is from Mexico too. She is from CENTRAL Mexico (no Spanglish language or crap culture). She has told me for over 25 years of our marriage that Mexico does NOT want these people and encourages them to leave because most did not want to study in school or learn a skill (lazy). She asks me why my government is so stupid as to let them come in and stay here. She AGREES that Trump is telling the truth and fears for his life. WE do not want these people here unless they FOLLOW the rules here, work hard like we do and pay the burdensome taxes/healthcare costs we do. No compromise here either.

As you said, my wife acknowledges the low class of the illegals but saw my defense of Trump as being unsupportive.

She’s in a bit of a conundrum as long as he is monopolizing the headlines, because it (his recent media coverage) certainly legitimizes him as a candidate.

She’s going to have to pull some media strings to try to get that corrected (should be no problem for her...).
