Hey Dolan your prayer beads are too tight.

These are not immigrants we are talking about. They are illegal grass crawling invaders that crossed our borders illegally or overstayed their VISAs. Either way they do NOT belong here and need to be rounded up and sent back

Sooner you and 90% of America understand this the better off we will be and can proceed with the round ups.

For Cardinal Dolan, the “virulent strain” of American nativism is not a thing of the past – it's alive, well and seeded in presidential candidate Donald Trump's recent remarks on the topic of immigration.

Has Cardinal Dolan also been purchased by the left? How much did he get paid to attack the Donald? Or, what threat is he avoiding?

Misinterpreting comments by Donald Trump are folly, is that not so?

But evil beyond Naziism had a lower priority for comment even though 60 million babies have been murdered? Sad, indeed!

Just who is handling and advising Cardinal Dolan?

Thanks for posting Dolans’s screed which demonstrates the problem in my church which I won’t go into here.
Save to say Heaven is the ultimate utopia and not of this world but even it has a border.

Catholic’s should no longer be passive when their bishops such as Gomez, or Dolan, make such temporal utterances on borders or climate that can deeply affect states economies and that includes the pope.

Fact is Trump doesn’t far enough. Beside all the other factors mentioned in previous postings on this subject;

In “countries such as Mexico where an American citizen decides to be a “legal” emigree never mind being a seasonal visitor.

They are denied voting privledges. Ownership of land in their own name, and selected access to government services.

Worse if entering that country illegaly. Then face steep fines and jail time before getting kicked out. Beside being denied use of government services, including; income and energy subsistance including food stamps, or bringing in family members .

When Trump announces he doesn’t believe we should not allow any such full citizenship privledges to illegals who are from countries such as Mexico that deny to a legal American immigrant full citizenship privledges.

That those “Dreamers” who were given this unconstitutional bypassed federal laws treatment entrance by INS who miss their INS hearing be deported fortwith and denied re-entry. also apply to any illegal convicted of a felony.

And announces he supports reciprocal citizenship requirements. then gets accused of being racist I’ll believe in him when he asks God for forgiveness./s...

I have seen Dolan speak at a local church. He is so full of himself it is sickening.

He acts like, and is treated like, some sort of pop celebrity and sounds very much like a clown.

I so miss my church.

A vision of Venerable Anne Catherine Emmerich, 1821:

June 1, 1821: “Among the strangest things that I saw, were long processions of bishops. Their thoughts and utterances were made known to me through images issuing from their mouths. Their faults towards religion were shown by external deformities. A few had only a body, with a dark cloud of fog instead of a head. Others had only a head, their bodies and hearts were like thick vapors. Some were lame; others were paralytics; others were asleep or staggering.”

“I saw what I believe to be nearly all the bishops of the world, but only a small number were perfectly sound. I also saw the Holy Father— God-fearing and prayerful. Nothing left to be desired in his appearance, but he was weakened by old age and by much suffering. His head was lolling from side to side, and it dropped onto his chest as if he were falling asleep. He often fainted and seemed to be dying. But when he was praying, he was often comforted by apparitions from Heaven. Then, his head was erect, but as soon as it dropped again onto his chest, I saw a number of people looking quickly right and left, that is, in the direction of the world.”

“Then I saw that everything that pertained to Protestantism was gradually gaining the upper hand, and the Catholic religion fell into complete decadence. Most priests were lured by the glittering but false knowledge of young school-teachers, and they all contributed to the work of destruction.”

“In those days, Faith will fall very low, and it will be preserved in some places only, in a few cottages and in a few families which God has protected from disasters and wars.”

She also had visions of what would happen because of all this. War. What could be described as WW III.

The Catholic church in the US needs to lose any tax exempt status it might have enjoyed, based on Dolan’s remarks.

Alternately, Dolan needs to be removed from his position of authority and, perhaps, excommunicated.

Why do so many Catholic Democrats choose to totally ignore the abortion issue ? Even now with the Planned Parenthood revelations . How can any remain Democrats at all?

Not only does this apostasy not discredit the faith, it positively confirms it. We were warned this time would come (see St. Paul's Second Epistle to the Thessalonians, Chapter 2).

The people you speak of aren't Catholics in any meaningful sense. They're "baptized pagans". Their lord is convenience, not Christ. Welcome to the Great Falling Away. If you think it's limited to Catholicism, I suggest you take a good look at the rest of your country, its culture, its institutions. The rot is everywhere, devouring everything.

The Catholic Church is an abject mess!

The Church is just fine. Some in leadership positions are guilty of malfeasance.

Mackerel snapper? Really?

If you are going to throw out anti-Catholic insults, you really need to update your abuse vocabulary.

Dolan has no authority nor special competence to declare what is "patriotic and beneficial for the economic and cultural future of our country" - if he can't stick to his job of teaching principles and doctrines he should resign.

The large offerings by the Irish and the Italians? They ones they used to give, maybe.

That's what a priest in a parish of a large church in Boston told me. The Irish left the parish in the 60's and 70's when whites fled the city. The replacement Haitian Catholics give a mere pittance in comparison. You reap what you sow.

Does the Catholic Church favor open borders for Catholic countries, or only for the U.S.? Are they lecturing Mexico’s leaders over that country’s restrictive immigration policies?

The Catholic Church’s teaching on borders, found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, is perfectly reasonable.

The problem is that we have lots of Marxist-globalist bishops who want to eliminate nation-states.

Also, in America, we have lots of bishops who are not Catholics, but Democrats. Dolan, O’Malley, Wuerl, Cupich, Gomez, etc., will always do what the Democrat party dictates.
