I got through, I think, 3 of his books before I decided never to read King’s BS again: The Stand, It, and another I forget. The stories were engaging for the first half, but it is obvious that King can’t end a story to save his life, which is the same as saying he can’t tell a story worth a damn. He can create a creepy atmosphere well, but he can’t create a comprehensive whole. The endings of both books above were so ridiculous that I had the same visceral reaction I had at the ending of LOST: that I had been conned.

Isn’t his only daughter Naomi a lesbian pastor in a wheelchair with voice and hearing impairment? Poor lady. He may be talented and rich but his poor child sure got beat up with the unfortunate stick. That might make me bitter.

There is a lot of speculation that he had a lot to do with Lost.
The only thing of his I actually liked was Dead Zone. For years now, whenever I see Steven King's name flash on the credits of a movie I skip it.
