Trump Twitter Rant: ‘Megyn Kelly Bombed Tonight,’ Retweets Post Referring To Her As ‘Bimbo’
CBS ^ | August 7, 2015

Posted on 08/07/2015 6:33:34 AM PDT by conservative98

Overnight on Twitter, Trump said that Kelly “bombed” as a moderator.

“Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch,” Trump tweeted.

Trump added that Kelly, along with moderators Bret Baier and Chris Wallace, were not very professional.

“I really enjoyed the debate tonight even though the @FoxNews trio, especially @megynkelly, was not very good or professional!” he stated.

Trump even retweeted a post that referred to Kelly as a “bimbo.”

The billionaire also lashed out at Luntz after getting a poor review from a focus group following the debate. Trump referred to Luntz as a “low-class snob” and a “joke.”

On “CBS This Morning” Friday, Luntz said he saw “total destruction of a candidacy” in Trump’s debate performance.

Looks like over-ardent Cruz supporters are worried, or perhaps FR Trump Concern Trolls have been activated.

I like Cruz, the previous dunce poster notwithstanding, but I’m also liking what Trump has done to force issues to the forefront that no Republican dared talk about a few weeks ago.

I wonder how that supports the “liberal Democrat” label.

“How DARE he talk that way to a ‘conservative’ woman!”

SO FUNNY!!

Unfortunately for the alleged Freepers, there’s plenty of time left to coherently discuss more than one Republican candidate at this time.

As they would say in another era, Trump is not (US) presidential timber. The same egocentrism displayed by Obama but with less self control. Donald, to win the war sometimes you just have to man up and let the little $hit slide.

“I’m not defending a Democrat’s disgraceful treatment of a conservative lady.”

I’m STILL laughing hard at that statement — THANK YOU!!!

If Trump implodes, Bush takes the lead which nobody wants.

I think Bush is done, he didn't show me much last night.

Well, I’m not a psychiatric nurse, and therefore not trained to deal with a person in the middle of a psychotic break, but I’d say your post #301 qualifies, as does your previous accusation.

To you, anyone who questions Trump is a leftist freak, a troll, etc. And when you encounter it, you’re unable to deal. Witness the screaming and the shrieking and the cursing and the multiple exclamation points.

You ought to calm down before you burst something.

Cruz and Carson were intellectually head and shoulders above the others intellectually. Either would eviscerate Clinton in a debate.

“Poor widdle Donald, can’t handle the mean, nasty blonde lady. And he thinks he can handle Putin or the ayatollahs?”

Actually, he handled her quite well. He knocked her down a peg or two, and it hasn’t blurt him one bit.

"I don’t trust Trump. Hopefully he’ll implode and Cruz or maybe Fiorina will take the lead."

I'm a Cruz supporter all the way, but I think Trump and his supporters are being severely misunderstood. Prior to last night, I was at least a little concerned as well that he was somehow working an angle on all of this, perhaps to give Hillary a boost. But in his interview with Sean Hannity after the debate I think he came across convincingly as being genuinely concerned about the present state of the country. I think he's sincere about what he's saying.

And to listen to people on both sides of the political divide puzzled by his high level of support is amazing. It is so obvious that his support is because of his willingness to just say what needs to be said, without taking focus group-approved talking points and running them through a PC filter. His support is not so much because of who he is, or even whether people think he is "electable", but because people are sick and tired of the same old political nonsense and are hungry for anyone who will call it like he sees it and who they believe will actually DO something about the country's problems.

Ted Cruz has done much the same (just ask Mitch McConnell), but so far he is unfortunately being largely ignored by the media. I hope that Cruz is ultimately able to break through because he has the Trump directness, but matched with an incredible intellect and political savvy. In the meantime, though, I think Trump has been a positive factor because he has forced issues that otherwise would have been ignored to be pushed to the forefront, and has forced the other candidates to take clearer positions on touchy subjects.

What’s really hilarious is that about 80% of the posters on this thread disagree with what you say about Trump insulting a poor widdle “conservative” “lady”, yet you’ve chosen to hurl your vitriol and intolerance to ME.

THANK YOU — KEEP ‘EM COMING!

"I think Bush is done, he didn't show me much last night."

Agreed. Bush came across as an administrator rather than as a leader. This country is in such deep trouble that whoever the nominee is, if they are ultimately elected, they must take bold decisive action if we are to have any chance of stopping the slide. Trump was right to dismiss Megyn Kelly's ridiculous "war on women"-style question when we have REAL problems to deal with.

I’m not defending his vile treatment of a stalwart conservative lady.

I'm not a big fan of Trump, but isn't it a stretch to call Kelly a "stalwart conservative lady?" She's just a mouthpiece of the RNC/GOP establishment, about as much of a "stalwart conservative" as Karl Rove.

I’ve been suspecting for some time now that Megyn is not the “stalwart conservative” that many assume. For example, watching her expressions and body language last night when she was asking the abortion questions I was struck by the sense that she was personally invested in the pro-abortion side of the argument. There seemed to be much more going on there than just playing devil’s advocate.

Yeah, it's a really big stretch, but I'm talking about Michelle Malkin, not Megyn Kelly. Post # 20.

Cruz is too soft spoken.

Last night he asked if he could speak up, instead of just getting it out there!

Seesh, better to ask forgiveness than permission.

I don't disagree. Cruz also has a style that makes him sound very prototypical "politician" until you spend the time to actually listen to what he's saying. I think that is a result of being an experienced litigator and debater, but it may turn some people off.

However, if given a chance I think he has by far the best mix of intellect, courage, and unshakeable principles of any of the candidates. Hopefully he gets the chance to be heard.

I believe Megyn Kelly is nobody's "conservative", but there are ways to communicate which are appropriate and ways which are not.

Too many Freepers are, sadly, unaware of the distinction, and threads like this make it all too plain. You can disagree without making an ass of yourself. Trump doesn't seem to get that, and neither do a lot of members of his cult of personality.

Freepers who think this is okay really need to take a very deep breath and think it through.
