Erick Erickson Disinvites Trump From Red State Gathering Over Megyn Kelly Insults
The Daily Caller ^ | Saturday, August 8, 2015 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 08/07/2015 10:46:29 PM PDT by kristinn

Red State’s Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday night’s debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.

I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far — Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015

“Well I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think she’s highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing I’m not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didn’t know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said to CNN’s Don Lemon.

He went further saying, “And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her — whatever. She was in my opinion — she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere it’s been very bad because she’s been very badly criticized. She’s a lightweight. I couldn’t care less about her.”

Can someone just stop parsing every word and get on with real issues? This has become a sh#t storm and a diversion.

She admitted she took some kind of pill a dr gave her to pump her up before the debate because she was sick and did not know if she could make the debate.

It was on the air.

Who are these attendees? are they the kind who support McCain since this is cnn sponsored?

My language skills were formulated and solidified prior to the age of political correctness. I have not changed the way I have thought or the words that that I use. However, I have learned to keep my mouth shut for my own survival. Apparently, Trump has learned to keep his mouth shut as well since he ended his statement abruptly.

No more! I believe I know exactly what Trump was about to say.

He was implying that Kelly was menstruating. That is to say that Kelly was being affected by her hormones. In this age of PC feminism, it is all well and good to attack men based on their nature, but it is not possible to say anything about a woman’s nature.

Being married for 25 years, having lived through that maturation of two daughters and having worked with countless women, I know about women’s hormonal temperment. There is nothing wrong about commenting on their temperment, especially a feminist’s temperment.

This is about PC thought and speech which leads to PC action and in turn has lead to America’s decline. I am not advocating discrimination against women, and certainly Trump does not advocate discrimination either. One of Trump’s long-time, right-hand men is a woman. On the other hand, I do advocate a war on feminist women and political correctness. If women can’t handle the fact that they act emotionally and it is part of nature then they need to grow a pair.

== Other media (other than FoxNews) seem to be crowning Kasich as the real winner because he came across as a jovial good-ole-boy gay friendly.

Fixed it.

Exactly. He just thought it was overkill to keep specifying points of origin. Is there anything else happening today? Sheesh!

Not exactly a trait one may be looking for in a leader of America.

RedState reaction is mixed ... i-have-disinvited-donald-trump-to-the-redstate-gathering, scroll down to comments. Pretty common theme is questioning Kelly as a repalcement, along with questioning Erickson's executive decision to ban Trump for what might be an intemperate remark.

Oh well, Ericson has hitched his wagon to Kelly. Maybe he hopes to get lucky or something.

My opinion of silly young Erick is much like yours but I don’t think a politician should go that far LOL!

This disgusting behavior of his can be addressed on it’s own.

You don’t think CNN would hire Erickson with his balloon sized head who comes off as a caricature of what liberals think all conservatives are like - dumb, Christian hillbilly hypocrites. He’s like the perfect hire. Put the camera on him and watch him make a fool of himself (with nice big chyron - conservative analyst). Brilliant.

Since, they are using whatever Trump says about Megyn Kelly to hurt Trump, I think it is fair to look at Megyn Kelly. She claims to be so highly offended at what Trump said on his “Apprentice” show that she mentions it in the Presidential debate.

But if you read what happened on the show, you can tell it was a set up piece. Another man mentions that the “Playboy” apprentice contestant was “down on her knees begging”, when Trump interrupts with his “pretty on your knees” comment. Obviously, meant to be a joke and ratings gainer. The lady had been a Playboy model and she takes Donald Trump's side and said she was not offended.

Now back to Megyn Kelly, I just listened to her segment on a previous Howard Stern show. She obviously didn't mind Howard Stern's sexist comments about her and other women on Fox News. She was laughing along with him and giving details about her own sex life that were not necessary. Anyone going on Howard Stern would be expecting these types of comments. She obviously doesn't mind some men with their sexual innuendos, but the Donald better be perfect.

I don't feel like she had the right to criticize Donald's comment after the comments she made on Stern's show. It's okay for her to discuss her husband's private parts on a national televised show, but Trump better be perfect.

Howard Stern and Megyn Kelly discuss breasts, penises & Republican litmus tests about Fox News

I'd have to agree with Trump. This was stupid for Megyn Kelly to do this show.
