Well, it remains to be seen if this will be our “Lusitania” wake up call.

I hope I have the right person. This man was captured by US Forces Iraq in February 2004. He was released as a "civilian detainee" of comparatively low risk in December 2004.Now there is a price on his head of $10 million for information leading to his capture,or death.

He should be made to be in fear for the rest of his wicked life. Surely American intelligence is carefully trying to track him.

She was working in Turkey to aid Syrian refugees. She and some colleagues went to Aleppo in Syria. During their return, they were captured.

I never have understood the “need” to have women in combat.

The "need" has nothing to do with combat. The "need" is the desire of a very small number of female officers to get their tickets punched in combat arms en route to senior command.

That’s a real shame. We are truly dealing with evil in this world.

It turns out she wasn't in the military, she was a 'human rights activist' who had worked for:

America's Promise, an organization which facilitates volunteer action for children and youth

Amnesty International, for whom she founded a student chapter at Northern Arizona University.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a one-on-one youth mentorship organization in the United States.

Contact Magazine, a Tibetan publication for whom she served as a journalist and an editor.

Danish Refugee Council, for whom she worked to help Syrian refugees in Turkey.

Food For Life Vrindavan, a local branch of Food For Life, which provides free food, education, and medical care for those in need in the region, for whom she taught English and kindergarten students.

Food Not Bombs, during college.

International Solidarity Movement, with whom she accompanied Palestinian families and children going to school.

Just Peace, a social justice project of United Campus Ministries at Northern Arizona University, with whom she went on a humanitarian aid trip to Guatemala and with whom she advocated against torture and Guantanamo Bay.

LHA Charitable Trust in Dharamsala, India, for whom she volunteered as an English teacher.

New Day Peace Center in Flagstaff, Arizona, for whom she helped to establish services for veteran students at Northern Arizona University and at Coconino Community College.

Northern Arizona University Center for Intercultural Education, which provides services to international students at Northern Arizona University.

Plum Village, the French monastery of Thích Nhat Hanh, for whom she volunteered in the center.

Prescott Area Women's Shelter, where she worked during the nights to help meet the needs of homeless women, children, and families.

Save Darfur Coalition, with whom she volunteered for three years, for whom she conducted multiple letter-writing campaigns and led two silent walks.

STAND, for whom she served as the President of STAND:NAU, a local chapter at Northern Arizona University, as well as the Southwest Regional Outreach Coordinator of the parent organization.

Support to Life, an international aid organization, for whom she worked to help Syrian refugees in Turkey

Tibetan Hope Center, an organization that helps Tibetan refugees to gain life skills to live independently in India, for whom she taught English and compiled a monthly newsletter.

Youth Count, where she volunteered in Prescott, Arizona participating in multiple environmental and inter-generational projects.

A little harsh there. I think she is like most of young people being taught by liberal teachers. She like most liberals are very naive about the evil world. Just like that crazy lady at the State Dept stating the terrorist need job opportunities. While Obama and our liberal government makes nice to everyone the terrorist can't wait to set off a bomb in a football stadium or crowded mall.
But, never fear; the home grown tea party terrorist are under close scrutiny of our government!

She was an aid worker. She left Turkey to go into Aleppo Syria (with her Syrian boyfriend - who was released) to visit a hospital run by Doctors without Borders. She stayed overnight, and caught when she returning to catch a bus back.

Basically, she won a Darwin Award.

Mueller was a native of Prescott, Arizona...compiled a monthly newsletter. Youth Count, where she volunteered in Prescott, Arizona participating in multiple environmental and inter-generational projects.

In all the copy represented by the excerpt dots I did not see any indication that she was a Christian. A do-gooder, absolutely, deserving of praise for helping others. I hope that she was saved so her works will not be for naught.

Prayers that her family and friends be comforted.

Her Syrian boyfriend should have known better than subject her to that danger.

In his defense, the ambassador is thought to have been anally penetrated with a broom handle too.

As long as they didn’t waterboard her or take humiliating pictures, that would upset Code Pink.

Pray America is waking

Just another reason for Hussein to pass out candies. I have no doubt he would have done the same if he could get it up for a woman.

Say what you will about her, but she sure walked the talk. Some of those causes look worthwhile and her work may have genuinely helped people in dire need. Too bad she was still so naive to put herself into serious harm’s way.
