There is definitely a mutual respect, as there should be. I heard Cruz comment in an interview that he would confront
Trump on an issue if they had a difference of opinion. I believe he would do that in a heartbeat, but he will not attack Trump as a person.
Seems to me that there is a symbiotic relationship developing. The article doesn’t mention this, but I think Trump is the second choice for some Cruz supporters.

The underlying assumption is Trump will drop out. Why not Cruz?
Now's the time to get behind this. I hope to see Cruz drop and the two of them announce they are running together, primaries be damned. An unstoppable team, the 2 could then focus on looking and acting presidential, all but ignoring all the others. It's a winning strategy, they both know it, and here's to hoping they act on it.
