Train staff on board the high speed train which was the scene of a suspected Islamic extremist attack yesterday have been accused of barricading themselves in their staffroom and locking the door, leaving passengers to fend for themselves.
The Moroccan terrorist was disarmed and beaten unconscious by US servicemen and a British man after he opened fire on a Paris-bound train with a Kalashnikov.
Now, French actor Jean-Hugues Anglade, who was on board the Thalys train during the attack has slammed train staff who he claims locked themselves in an office away from the attacker and refused to help the trapped passengers. But the head of Thalys, the train company that ran the train on which the attempted attack took place, denied that passengers were abandoned.

Crew on Paris-bound train ‘barricaded themselves in their staffroom and locked the door as Kalashnikov-wielding terrorist went on the rampage leaving PASSENGERS to take him down’
....from another article:
The French actor Jean-Hugues Anglade suffered an injury to his finger requiring five stitches while activating the trains emergency alarm.
Anglade told Paris Match he was with his partner and two children one carriage away from the gunman. He said train personnel had run down the corridor and locked the door of their work cabin, despite frightened passengers knocking on the door.
I thought it was the end, we were going to die, he was going to kill us all, he said. It is a terrifying feeling being so helpless.
We were in a bad spot but with good people, Anglade said. We were incredibly lucky to have American soldiers with us. I pay homage to their heroic courage and thank them. Without them, we all would be dead.
Oh boy!
Disgusting. But not at all surprising.
Cheese eating surrender monkeys!
Cowards.
General Patton Farewell Speech:
“You are not all going to die,” he said slowly. “Only two percent of you right here today would die in a major battle. Death must not be feared. Death, in time, comes to all men. Yes, every man is scared in his first battle. If he says he’s not, he’s a liar. Some men are cowards but they fight the same as the brave men or they get the hell slammed out of them watching men fight who are just as scared as they are. The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared. Some men get over their fright in a minute under fire. For some, it takes an hour. For some, it takes days. But a real man will never let his fear of death overpower his honor, his sense of duty to his country, and his innate manhood. Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best and it removes all that is base. Americans pride themselves on being He Men and they ARE He Men. Remember that the enemy is just as frightened as you are, and probably more so. They are not supermen.”
If France had any shame they would be feeling it today.
“And, after all, why shouldn’t we believe that? We are Americans.”
Ronald Reagan, January 20, 1981.
Looks like the French haven’t changed for the better. Looks like they still enjoy surrendering - not good at all.
So the French surrendered after the first shot, what else is new??
This quote could be applied to many points in time in history
(I'm thankful that nobody was killed, of course... but the point remains.)
“We were incredibly lucky to have American soldiers with us.”
Yes. You. Were.
Proof positive that they’ve EARNED the moniker, ‘Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys!’
Actually, it must be scary living in a Socialist Paradise. You ARE a sitting duck 24/7.
I could understand the engineer locking his door, but it sounds like the crew didn’t even attempt to move passengers away from the jihadi.
This is a high speed train carrying 500+ passengers at speeds of 190mph. If I were the crew, I'd barricade the engine car too -- the train itself is the weapon, no different in many respects than an aircraft on 9/11. Better to block the door, let terrorists kill a few passengers than to let the terrorists commandeer the actual train and plow it into a Paris railroad station at 250 mph.
