Though this is a vanity, I have linked to the foundational source of my point.
I REALLY like what the Trump is saying. I like his attitude, I lake his effectively destroying PC and his takedown of the MSM. I like seeing all the liberal and GOPe heads exploding. I especially like him running a screen for Cruz.
But I would be very concerned about a Trump presidency. If you look at his stances in the past and some that are current and couple that with is personality, attitude and MO, and imagine him as the "strong man" in the article in the link, you will see where I am coming from.
In life everything after ‘’but’’ is bs.
So, you don't care for what Trump is accomplishing at this point
I see most here cheering him on for taking the establishment/MSM to task and exposing them for what they are.
Trump as the actual candidate is much further down the road, for now, he has is place and is showing the squish out there a thing or two......so quit with the fake FReeper labels please.
Trump is not about limiting the size of the federal bureaucracy, he just wants to run it his way.
Trump is not a conservative in the sense that he will need no tweeking. But he is smart enough to realize that conservatism is the best system and become a strong conservative.
I don’t ‘like’ Donald Trump. I hate obnoxious over-confident blowhards. I do find Trump to be a useful idiot right now taking on the status quo. But keep in mind Trump has no track record as a politician and his statements are all over the place. He has said he likes single-payer health care and increased taxes and tariffs and actually supported Hillary Clinton. More recently he has made more conservative sounding statements but he is running for President as a Republican. Was he lying then or now? Trump is more of a populist. Who knows how a populist with no real idealogy would govern.
Ted Cruz is the only solid conservative running for President. I continue to support Cruz.

No matter what you call it in order to disguise having actually said “rat’s butt” on FR. - I think this has probably offended the delicate sensibilities of many on FR. Thing is, in a very real way, right now Trump is simply selling a different brand of “hope and change” and, just like the last time, is not getting into real specifics of what that “hope” and “change” really is.
We know how that worked out last time.
Concern is a good thing.
This is me bringing it up in its own thread as a small part of ensuring we all keep his run in perspective. ;-)

Good post. It’s kind of how I think of this whole thing. But we do need to go into this thing with eyes wide open and an historical perspective.
My concerns may vanish by primary time - or they may reach a fever pitch. Time will tell.
