A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

OK, if Donald changes his stance, I’m sure I’ll find out about it eventually.

At least he’s not making a complete ass of himself talking about a Canada wall for Pete’s sake.

“You look sort of silly waving those Trump pompoms.”

No I don’t, I look positive for Trump, who is going to win, and I will have the last laugh, a big silly last laugh, while your candidate goes down in flames, whether Trump is the candidate or not. Because Walker is going nowhere and you will never admit it, but you know it, don’t you.

Legal immigration is an even bigger problem. It must be reduced. Trump’s plan does that.

“.....The idea that the rich routinely pay a lower tax rate than “working Americans” is a myth successfully perpetuated by liberals like Warren Buffett and George Soros — and now Donald Trump. The average tax rate of someone earning over a million dollars is more than triple the average tax rate of those earning between $100,000 and $200,000 and nearly seven times the rate of someone earning $75,000. We already soak the rich, but as with everything else in Trump-world, facts be damned....”

Trump is a lifelong liberal who is saying what you want to hear and you’ve fallen for it. Reagan was a conservative long before he ran. There is little to no comparison between the two but you’re free to believe otherwise if that’s what you must do to rationalize your support for the liberal.

Donald Trump is no longer a liberal.

You believe this why?

Because he said so.

“Donald Trump is no longer a liberal.

Speaking of silly, what a silly question. How about because he has been everywhere in public saying that which is guaranteed to gain him hatred by the liberal, socialist Dems, the MSM, the GOPe, the illegal aliens that will vote, and all other liberal constituencies that I may have missed here. Kind of going out on a limb bigtime if he’s a liberal, wouldn’t you say?

I agree with that and also Radio host Mark Simone on Trump.

Mark said he knows Trump personally and that Trump always wins. He said Trump would go in trying to build a building in New York city . And everyone would be against that building. But he was such a good negotiator that the next thing You knew a 100 story building was built with the word Trump on it.
He always wins people over and Trump always wins.

We need this guy Trump to win the American people over and beat the media as he is doing to get the wall built and illegals deported. Only Trump is even talking about it and only he can do it.

We need the guy who wrote “The art of the Deal” negotiating with China, Mexico , and standing up to the ayatollas. not wimps that back down to megyn kelly and the media.

How about that. You can’t make this stuff up (unless you’re Trump and his camp followers).

You can find those pom poms on his website.

Name any conservative who would do such a thing. lol!

Okay, let me ask you this? Do YOU think we need a wall on the Canadian border and NOT on the Mexican border?

...He always wins people over and Trump always wins...

Put some meat on those bones. Win what, and for whom? And what do you base your assumptions (who he'll deal with, what he'll deal for, what he wants). If you go by his past positions, political affiliations and people he wants around him, you better think harder about it.

Some people vet out their candidates and the reality is that we have a year left.

Remember to check the actual weaknesses of who you choose well in advance as the Bolshevik Democrats are going to hold fire until some time next year while using feints this year during their own vetting processes.

To paraphrase Rick Pitino:

Edmund Burke is not coming through that door. George Washington is not coming through that door. President Taft is not coming through that door. President Reagan is not coming through that door. Margaret Thatcher is not coming through that door. Trump is easily the most conservative, pro-USA candidate running that can win. All 17 GOP candidates are each great in their own, but limited, way. But, none of them can dominate the national conversation the way Trump can. None of them can handle the media just waiting to pounce should we nominate a conservative with a political resume only. None of them could be counted on to pull votes from all demographics, a la the legendary Reagan Democrats. He’s going to win.

I understand everyone’s impulse to support the most doctrinaire conservative candidate. Recalling all my proud, but useless NH primary votes these many years, this is the last chance to save the America we all here grew up in. The lefty’s win one more time - it’s all over and we’ll have to find a new place and start all over again. And George Washington isn’t walking through that door I’m afraid.
