These purists have told me that there's little or no difference between a moderate Republican and a liberal Democrat. They're delusional, of course, blinded by their hard-right ideology, but that's what they believe nonetheless.

We are facing multiple issues that could destroy America. If a "republican" allows Obamacare to stand, government control over whether we live or die will become permanent, and America will die. If a "republican" allows Amnesty to pass, a liberal majority will become permanent, and America will die. If a "republican" allows more federal restrictions on our individual God-given right to keep and bear arms, the Second Amendment will fade away, and America will die.

I'll compromise on many issues, but those are deal breakers for me. If the GOP insiders don't like that, they can (finally!) allow a conservative to win the nomination.

Gosh. What a stunning record of defeat these Washington ‘experts” have wrought!

And, but for the 750 votes in Florida in 2000, we would have lost 2 more elections.

Of course, voting for moderates and RINOs has cost us our country, but who cares about that? :)

They just won’t give it up, will they? They know we’ve had to cave so many times because they gave us no choice, that they just can’t believe we don’t have to again (assuming Trump and/or Cruz makes it to the general). They won’t learn from conservatives staying home-maybe 3 times will be the charm, if it comes to that. They’ve always been able to count on “Where else are they gonna go?” Plus, they don’t see this the way we do-it’s the “game” of politics to them, it’s our country being destroyed before our eyes, to us.

Did you read the whole article, or just the excerpt?

“Democrats don’t have the same kind of ideologically pure wing that has hurt GOP presidential candidates in the past. Democrats, it seems, are more practical. They may prefer Bernie Sanders, or one of the others, but when push comes to shove, almost all of them will vote for Clinton. Why? They want to win.”

Bernie labels this “more practical”, showing he doesn’t really understand what is going on. Lefties lose nothing really by compromising, because even their “compromise” candidates still push the country to the left, just not as rapidly as the lefties would like.

When conservatives compromise, though, the country still gets pushed to the left, because Republican compromisers are all surrender monkeys, who not only won’t fight for our cause, but will join the Democrats to actively oppose us.

So, of course liberals will compromise, they still get a consolation prize when they do that. We get worse than nothing when we compromise, so there is no incentive for us to do it anymore. So for a conservative, refusing to compromise really does seem to be the only “practical” choice, at least at this point.

Bernie, you’re still and old fool. It’s not a matter of ideological “purity”, it’s a matter of us being sick to death of being stabbed in the back by the phoney GOPe, who are purchased and paid for by the big “money people” via campaign “contributions”, and who don’t give a damn about our country, but care only about being re-elected again and again so they can continue to live in their all-country-club bubble, with all of it’s wonderful perks and luxuries denied to we peasants.

I read it. Your excerpt seemed to capture the tone of the majority of the article.

Will the GOPe “purists” pledge to vote for Cruz or Trump if either gets the nomination?

FWIW, Goldberg does say this:

Republicans, who today are vowing to never support Donald Trump, will have to reconsider, should he win the nomination.
He doesn't seem anti-Trump in the article. He doesn't mention Cruz or several of the other candidates.

It serves an important purpose for Conservatives to clearly state that they will not vote for RINO presidential candidates.

If Mitt Romney had paid attention to such Conservative statements he would not have run in 2012. He lost, of course, and his donors lost hundreds of millions of dollars backing him because Conservatives, as they had previously stated, would not and did not vote for him in the general election.

It makes no sense for RINOs, therefore, to run for president.

At least we haven’t had to wait long this year for Jeb Bush and his backers to fall by the wayside.

Even the most foolish gambler eventually walks away when he NEVER wins, yet apparently RINOs and their millionaire contributors are incapable of understanding that there is nothing but defeat for them when taking part in RINO presidential politics.

There are quite a few folks here who think Trump is a RINO. How do you answer them?

Liberals always get what they want. As Mark Steyn said the other day on Rush that the only victory conservatives have had in the last fifteen years was a tax cut that sunset a few years later.

Yep, even with a Republican majority, we got sodomite mirage, CommieCare funded, fixing to have open trannies in the military, and...drum roll...the amnesty which just won’t die, no matter how many times We have called Congress and written letters. They just bring it back, like nothing ever happened. All this, with Republicans supposedly running things. What would the ‘rats do differently? Except have pushed for legal pedophile or bestial mirage at the same time?

‘’There are quite a few folks here who think Trump is a RINO.’’
_______________________________________________________

Trump’s fighting spirit in taking on the illegal immigration issue, promising to build a wall, and then not backing down in the face of media attacks, won over many Conservatives.

If he goes soft, he’ll look like a RINO, anger everyone who thought he was strong, especially Conservatives, and lose the election.

That just goes to show me how high the stakes are, for the globalists, in having their man in power.
