It seems misplaced too. If they can order anything, the sensible thing would be to order her fired. This is hard headed hard hearted arrogance and my hunch is that it will not go unanswered from Heaven.

She's an elected official so she can't be fired. Only impeached or voted out.

She can’t be fired. They have to conduct impeachment proceedings. From what I heard on the new this morning it’s too costly for the County as this juncture

Kim Davis can't be fired. Only the voters can fire her at her next election.

Or, she can be impeached by the Kentucky state legislature if a special session costing millions of taxpayers' dollars were to be convened.

Even the state governor cannot remove her.

Ms. Davis has reiterated she will NEVER resign or retire under any circumstances.
