Free Republic will continue the fight for Liberty and against godless socialism and fascist judges!
September 3, 2015 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 09/03/2015 3:39:43 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

I stand with Kim Davis! I will not comply!

Free Republic is and always will remain a pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site.

The recent SCOTUS ruling against marriage is a travesty against God, country and constitution. It is a shot against Christianity. The government has now officially declared war on Christianity and against individual Christians. Kim Davis is the first casualty who was actually jailed, but will not be the last. The Marxist/fascists have now taken over our government from the top down and will attempt to stomp out all resistance and the black-robed nazi judges will do their bidding. Any Christian speaking out against homosexualism will be targeted for the re-education camps (they're actually doing this already in the military). Christianity is now a hate group and the bible a hate book. Thou shalt not quote from the holy bible.

Your church and your pastor will be next. And then you.

America is and always has been a Judeo-Christian nation. Our nation was founded on the great truth that our unalienable rights are bestowed upon us by God our Creator and cannot be lawfully removed by a godless socialist/fascist government gone awry. We will not comply with this obviously unconstitutional ruling that flies in the face of the first amendment and the very principles our nation was founded on. If we fail to successfully resist, then the great Marxist/fascist coup will have succeeded and America will no longer exist as a free nation.

This is a war for God, family, country and we cannot afford to lose.

And this is only the opening salvo. We are about to experience the greatest tyranny since the communists took Russia and the nazis took Germany. It didn't work then and it won't work now. The same God that gave us life, gave us liberty and as much as they want to try, government cannot stomp out God or liberty. God lives on in our our hearts and man will always yearn to live free.

As long as God gives us breath, we will fight to defend our God, our Constitution and our Liberty.

As the man said, give me liberty or give me death!

In the end, it is up to God to judge her heart...but my gut feeling is that she is being truthful and standing on proper principles.

I agree.

Why has that become so unusual for so many people?!

Well, Elsie, as I tried to explain to j.argese above, if the Legislature enacts corrupt law, if the executive enforces corrupt law, and if the Supreme court renders corrupt decisions, then it is they who are corrupt and wrong...not the people who try and live according to what is right.

When I took the oath to the Constitution, it was to defend her against all enemies foreign and domestic, and also to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. This woman is doing that...bearing true faith and allegiance. When things go bad, we all have to choose where we stand. I stand with this woman.

The Supreme Court and those acting against her are not bearing true faith and allegiance and the dissenting opinions make this clear. . Here is the woman’s statement, from jail, on her positon:

“I have worked in the Rowan County Clerk’s office for 27 years as a Deputy Clerk and was honored to be elected as the Clerk in November 2014, and took office in January 2015. I love my job and the people of Rowan County. I have never lived any place other than Rowan County. Some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well. This year we are on track to generate a surplus for the county of 1.5 million dollars.

In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.

I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and God’s Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Our history is filled with accommodations for people’s religious freedom and conscience. I want to continue to perform my duties, but I also am requesting what our Founders envisioned – that conscience and religious freedom would be protected. That is all I am asking. I never sought to be in this position, and I would much rather not have been placed in this position. I have received death threats from people who do not know me. I harbor nothing against them. I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience.”

I agree with and support her.

2. Her previous marriage record.

Repentance. You might want to look into it. It's something we Christians do when we give our lives to Christ, and continually afterward.

It’s a fast paced world these days.

And there is SO much ‘news’ to wade thru.

We tend to skim instead of ponder.

And, headline writers like to grab us with whatever will work; but if we actually read the bulk of what they have written; it’s found to be; shall we say; just a WEE bit different than the title.

(Kinda like some FR threads... ;^)

What do ‘Christian’ clergymen Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Jeremiah Wright have to say about this?

They stole that from TAX CHEAT Tom Daschle.

Whenever Daschle spoke of non leftwingers

he always established his position of Superiority by saying that their actions either “disappointed” him or “deeply saddened” him.

Meaning that he stood at such a towering height above them that from his viewpoint they appeared as wayward children.

1. She’s a Democrat.
2. Her previous marriage record.
3. Her “Drama Queen” act for the cameras.
The woman is not to be trusted.

What she did was right. All of the things you posted above are excuses not to support it.

I said some of this earlier today on a different thread, but it bears repeating.

Jim Robinson deserves thanks for refusing to back down on core conservative issues like abortion and homosexuality. I am not happy with some of where I see the conservative movement going and I’m glad Jim Robinson and Free Republic are refusing to go down a bad road.

I don’t agree with everything Jim Robinson says. There’s been lots of discussion of Kim Davis’ beliefs and I clearly don’t agree with some of what her church teaches. We live in America and people have a Constitutional right to disagree.

However, we can learn a lot about people by who their enemies are, and on which issues they’re willing to take a stand and fight, rather than just talk.

Kim Davis and Jim Robinson both have the right enemies. That counts for a lot in my book.
