Palin Defends Trump: We Need a ‘Tough’ POTUS, Not a Master of Trivial Pursuit

Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this morning and defended Donald Trump after his less-than-stellar interview with Hugh Hewitt.

Trump’s foreign policy-focused interview was pretty widely panned for The Donald’s loose grasp on the issues. On State of the Union this morning, Tapper asked Palin if she thought Trump got “gotcha” questions.

Palin said, “I’d rather have a president who is tough and puts America first than can win a game of Trivial Pursuit.”

Who is Prime Minister of China?

Taiwan?

Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, respectively.

As Bill Clinton used to say, I feel your pain.;-)

Always bite the lower lip when saying that, as it adds dramatic "feeling" effect.

And punitive tariffs are the way to do that? No.

We have been selling out America’s industrial base now for over one entire generation.

China now exports more than America.

Yes I think punitive tariffs are exactly the way to do that, among other tactics.

America first.

Ah, Sarah, that’s why we love you so! Your ability to encapsulate the issue so beautifully.

"Pray tell me what any candidate can do about this SC ruling?"

I am disappointed in how Trump is handling the Kim Davis things too. Weak very weak and this is an important issue. But nothing tops immigration this election cycle.

Huckabee is having a rally showing support for Kim this Tuesday 3pm. Trump or any other candidate for that matter could show up. That would be doing something other then just mouthing talking points.

“Trump, Cruz, Carson, Palin”

It does look that way. I have many reservations about Trump, but he may be the bull in the China shop necessary to break up the GOPe, the MSM and the Progs.

Trump added some alternative ways for this to be handled. I’m not sure if I was in this race if I would jump into the fray on this. I don’t see it as a hill to live or die on. I have my personal objections to gay marriage based on my Christian beliefs, and cannot even say what I would do in this situation. Kim is an elected official to the tune of $80,000 a year - so, I don’t know where in KY she could even match this kind of pay if she resigns. Then again, she has to do what she believes God is calling her to do.

Nobody knows it all and anyone who thinks they do is the worst person for any job, much less the safety and security of us all.

that describes Obama to a T. Remember "I'm a better speech writer than my speech writers", "I'm a better policy analyst than my policy analysts"?

“Excellent answer from Sarah.”

Yes indeed. She really speared the RINO Hugh Hewitt.

We’re waiting.

I see a troubling response. A failure on basic knowledge of foreign policy on your part.

Quite concerning.

I’ve been here nearly every day for seventeen years. If I’ve seen the name Cuds here more than 20 times I’d be surprised.

Here’s an FR search on Cuds.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?m=all;o=time;q=quick;s=Cuds

Here’s one on Hezbollah

http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/hezbollah/index?tab=articles

I put the names in and this is what FR responded with.

If I were to list terrorist groups in the Middle East, that list would not include the Cuds.

al Qaeda
the Muslim Brotherhood
Hezbollah
Hamas
al Fatah

Cuds? LOL

Your comments are laughable.

Palin is more of a man than you are....she’s also a hell of a lot smarter. Too bad that your Jebbie is going down.
