As she testified before the tax-writing Senate Finance Committee on Sept. 30, 1993, Hillary Clinton was asked by Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.) if she supported the imposition of a new, 25 percent national sales tax on guns. Clinton emphatically endorsed the tax, stating: "I am all for that."

So, let's drag up stuff from the past. But, uh, why would she be testifyin' before any committee back then anyway? I guess they can call up anyone they want for any reason. Looks like she isn't so excited to testify these days. Not that she did anything wrong or illegal.

And how is this any different from a poll tax? It is a tax on the exercise of a Constitutional Right. In fact, I don’t understand how there could be any sales tax on firearms purchases.

Good thinking, stupid. Do you really think the quantity of guns sold is responsive to price changes (i.e., price elastic)? If you need a heart operation, do you look for the best doctor, or one who operates out of his garage? All this plan does is raise the price of guns with almost no impact on gun sales, and take more dollars away from the public to you jerks can give it away in an ever-ongoing attempt to get reelected.

Yeah, how about that Sen Bill Bradley! The Senate is such a “good place” for a retired basketball player. You know they know all about what the country needs. Not.
