Ben Carson: Deporting 12 million undocumented immigrants is impractical.

Hillary celebrates after hearing Carson finally go on board the D.C. talking point parade!

Good point. If you want to do it, it can be done. You have to want to.

In the 'old days' Presidents cared more about protecting the American People than about how they would look to cry baby women in the MSM... (One more unintended consequence of the feminization of the Press... and yeah, that includes the New York Times and Maureen Dowd...)

Isn’t it sad that the last time we had a President who upheld immigration law was Eisenhower?

Very easy to round up if you only had a brain.
1. No welfare for non citizens.
2. No wirer transfers out of the country without a green (real)card or citizenship papers.
3. Fix E-verified and make any employer that will not use it be fined $5000.00. First time 5k second time and 10k and run the company out of business.
4. No anchor baby’s and if you are deported you lose your chance to come here legally for five years, second time ten years.
See you don’t always follow the Dr. advice as it can kill you.

"Operation wetback...

Ike wanted jobs for World War II vets... NOT for third world Mexicans.. President Eisenhower sent millions of illegals back to Mexico...

It can be done...

Excellent points...you are right, it can be done.

Notice, even during an election the country gets millions to certain central points. In some respects this is going to happen when the roundup begins. Come in peacefully or go out with a 25 year prohibition of ever stepping foot in this country again!!

Carson and Fiorina on Rupert Murdoch’s payrole. Murdoch shamelessly promotes Jeb Bush. If not Bush, then Kasich. If not them, he’ll jump on the Hillary bandwagon.

Sounds like Carson felt the need to PICK A SIDE.

And he sided with the Illegals. What a shame to see him flame out so fast - he had so much potential.

IIRC Ben wrote one or two OP EDs a year plus back that got me pretty convinced I’d never vote for him. They basically were “you gotta vote for the second most evil” candidate stuff about sticking with the party no matter who they nominate. Nope, nuh unh.....

The “haters” part wasn’t aimed at you - just part of my comment on the gist of the article.

I knew that, I just wanted to clarify where I was coming from somewhere on the thread.

In any case, while I don't really trust Trump, I find the groundswell of support that he's getting very encouraging. Whatever his flaws as a candidate, it's heartening to see opposition to amnesty and open borders become a litmus test for a majority of Republican voters. I'd like to see a situation where support for amnesty effectively disqualifies any and all candidates from the nomination.

In a perfect world it would be great. In the flawed one we have, one single-issue item begets another single-issue item ad infinitum and we end up with nobody "worthy of our votes".

When he was considering the run, there were things about Trump which made me uneasy - most of them have been satisfied in my mind but there's always risk. I donate to Cruz and would vote for Trump with clean conscience. Here's hping we end up with a good one for a change and some of the major problems get addressed in a big way.

I think that most strongly political people are willing to compromise on some issues but not on others. Different voters have different lines in the sand that they draw. For example, to somebody who is willing to compromise with the Left on immigration but is unwilling to compromise on social issues like abortion, I may seem like a "single issue voter" for rejecting a pro-amnesty but solidly anti-abortion candidate. Conversely, to me the anti-abortion activist who refuses to vote for a candidate who doesn't feel strongly about abortion but takes a hard line on illegal immigration may seem like a "single issue voter."

Ben Carson is just another Yeb! but with some religion and points for being black. He must have picked up some wealthy donors? And he is catering to them.

80% will self deport and I have nothing against sweetening the pot with a few thousand dollars and a free airplane ticket home. They must submit to biometric ID and fingerprints so we know if they come back like a bad penny.

PLUS-Penalties that are enforced if you come back here. Such as two years in prison.

He’s rising a bit in the polls and he, like every self-adulating surgeon (and politician), has decided there is no sweeter sound than that of his own voice.

I've always thought of him as this cycle's Herman Cain, just without the sex scandals and the clown show entertainment value. As with Cain, if Carson were white with the same credentials as a candidate, would so many Republicans be bending over backwards to take him seriously?

Not sure who would be backing him, it's obvious that the RNC needs a pinch hitter establishment candidate as Jeb continues to plunge in the polls. That explains Kasich and some others being propped up, but Carson just doesn't have the political credibility to be the establishment's designated pinch hitter.

Kasich is definitely the GOPe back up for Yeb!! in case Yeb!!!¿¿¿¿¿ goes crazy some day and self-destructs like a robot gone haywire.

Yeb! has sucked up so much money from Republican elite donors. Its great to see these open borders a-holes losing millions betting on this trans-Mexican chump.
